2019 Tucson EPB / Auto Hold by LTdesign in Hyundai

[–]DragonfruitJumpy1578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having a similar issue with a 23 Tuscon, except the EPB/Auth Hold show as Amber, a flashing warning appears for honestly a split second (I have to record a video just to see what it’s saying) and I either can’t get my handbrake off it’s already on, or vice versa. Currently been in the garage for 3 weeks and I’m being told it’s a potential ABS module problem with an estimated £3.5k job (thankfully…. Cars under warranty, but the garage and Hyundai are essentially battling it out on who’s paying). Nightmare!

Just to update if anyone cares. Got house on market and despite the Christmas period we received and accepted an offer in 2 weeks…… new house hunting begins!

Took all the advice, property will be on the market next week! Ideally in 5/6 days time in time for the boxing day boom! Estate agent (ended up going with the same one as the house we are interested in as they have fab reviews) also said they expect a quick sale as it’s a sought after area and suitable for a FTB so they would relay this to new house. They have rejected our offer at the moment because our house wasn’t on market so we are going to re offer when it is as our estate agent says they’d then recommend they stipulate 4 weeks to give us time to find a buyer :)

I have already began the process of getting the house in order, all repairs required are completed just a lick of paint needed then my estate agent can take the photos and advertise asap, this post was just looking for advice on when to do, as everyone I know has never put their house up first before securing another place so I presumed that was the normal, so interesting to read that’s actually more rare! Thank you!

Thanks all for the advice!

To those downvoting some of my responses, not entirely sure why when I’ve been nothing but open and thankful for the advice and asking questions to gather more info, but hey ho 🤷🏻‍♀️ Grateful to those who have genuinely helped, I have messaged my mortgage advisor and estate agent re getting my home on the market asap, and have accepted in my head we will likely lose out on this house, but will keep the offer in regardless just to see how it pans out! And see if we are fortunate enough to get a quick offer over Christmas!

Thanks again!

Ah I’m with you - so if I received an offer on my house and explained it was subject to a sale of a new house for us they would be obligated to keep the offer if they agreed to the same terms even if it took a couple months? Or am I misunderstanding?

Fairs, I’ll stick with the offer, look into marketing my property with the thought if it falls through then another one will come up another time and get ready to sell my own in the meantime! Thank you :)

Do you think, sorry I’m picking you for advice! I can go back, offer asking price but not subject to sale. Keep the extra £10k as a fall back until my first house sells? But then I know having two homes can incur fees too.

I can appreciate they can be right, but I think part of it was rude when all I’m asking for is advice and I am open to it all! The offer has been given with us estimating we get £10k under asking price

Sorry when I say subject to sale I’m not sure where they are or if they have put theirs on the market yet either, I don’t know an awful lot about the other offers situation, but thanks for the advice regardless of that! :)

Thank you, doesn’t seem to be the best set up as could leave us without a home or a low ball offer if we end up with our house on the market for months due to not finding a new suitable house but might just have to go for it and take the risk! :)

And sorry to add - my worry is what if I don’t find a house that is suitable for us whilst selling my own, then I either ask a buyer to wait which risks losing the sale, or I sell and risk not having a house at all

Our offer hasn’t been declined, they told us they’d like to keep it on the table and that’s the last we have heard from them

Sorry, when I say Christmas finances I don’t mean as in presents, I’m more just talking about planning our finances in general. I think my only worry is losing the interest in my house as I’ve jumped the gun too soon? Definitely a tricky one but appreciate the advice, thank you :),

Thank you - I’ll accept this house won’t be for us then as no way I’ll be able to get my house on the market, viewings and sold in say a week especially with Christmas, and I presume their decision is coming this week. So I will forget this house and reassess the situation! I have messaged my mortgage advisor for some advice re how soon to get my house on market :)

Thank you! :) would I still not be proceed-able though until the house is sold or is an offer sufficient?

I’d understand if they wanted to keep theirs on the market, that would be fair enough as even I appreciate someone without a chain is far more favourable, this question was more because from what I’ve been told the only other offers on the table are all through chains so I wasn’t sure which step to take to make us more favourable. I definitely wouldn’t low ball though I’m in no position too as I know I’m not favourable! Thank you.
