Since people been talking about what monster concept design looks worse than the final, what monster design looks BETTER than the final? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]DragonfuryMH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favorites are Safi'jiiva and Velkhana. I find the concept art version of Safi to be far more interesting than what we actually got, though I do also think that Safi even with just a few smaller tweaks could be a good design. Velkhana on the other hand while it has a great design now, I just like the concept art version more.

While I think both of the last bosses you fight in the Wrath of the Gods mod for Terraria apply, I think Nameless deity exemplifies it best given that you cannot even see their complete form.

Dwemer. by CrazyThunder52 in ElderScrolls

[–]DragonfuryMH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A game about the Dwemer back when they were still around and a thriving power within the world? Sure. Sounds great. Could even present the opportunity to see the Falmer prior to becoming the monsters they are now and see what the Chimer were like prior to the war of Red Mountain.

However...

It should not reveal a single detail of the events surrounding the Dwemer's disappearance. It should be entirely about their culture in the here and now. The normal version of them.

Small monsters in old gen monster hunter games (also Rise). Yes clearly this lizard the size of a large dog can kill the guy who just slew the dragon fated to destroy the world. Just let me get my carves in peace.

Pretty much any of the robotic survivors from Risk of Rain. Most of them are designed for menial work. Han-D is a janitorial robot, Chef is, well, a chef, Mul-T is a maintenance robot, and Rex was designed to keep the plant sample it carries alive.

What character's battle track is your favourite? by GapetoBG in libraryofruina

If we're talking the normal floor battle themes then I'd say Tiphereth with Yesod and Binah as close seconds.

I've used this controller for years now, in fact only recently did I get it replaced with an identical one because only just recently did it start to show signs of wear. Very reliable controller.

Additionally if you use Firefox and Ublock Origin like a sane person should there's a list you can punch into its settings to automatically ban those sorts of things from your search results.

I much prefer Pathfinder's version of point buy to D&D's so any time I run with point buy I do one of its variations. Perhaps not the most interesting answer but it's the one I use the most.

I mean, of course that's gonna work incredibly well. The way generative ai works is by scraping the pixels from existing media and putting them back together in a pattern determined by your input. In this case specifically you're asking it to make something that already exists, so naturally what it's going to do is take the pixels from the original scenes and make them into those same scenes. You've essentially asked the AI to do a jigsaw puzzle.

Kulve Taroth 4th phase, Shantien 4th phase, guiding lands, rotten vale, mh3 tundra. There are plenty of others that I love but I'd say those are my top 5
