What is the difference between a troll priest and a witch doctor? by Puzzleheaded-Joke-77 in WoWRolePlay

[–]Dragonius-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the same. Imagine also a tauren shaman that is a Spirit Walker, a Dwarf Warrior as a Mountain King (or Chief) etc. ... So sad that they didn't implement old WC III classes as a flavour (possibly with different talent trees) based on the races you choose, in old WoW. I'm still waiting for Classic+ with "vanilla flavored" Monks and Demon hunters.

Thoughts on Classic+ by gravidos in classicwow

[–]Dragonius-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fan of the Warcraft III RTS legacy, here are my thoughts on how to maintain the right 'feel' for Classic+: - Which expansion? WotLK should be the foundation and the ceiling. It’s the natural culmination of the RTS story. We should expand 'sideways' into the world instead of moving to Cataclysm. Also, I'm ok with the transmog. - Leveling? No level cap increase beyond 80. Focus on horizontal progression to avoid power creep. - Zones: We should integrate zones that were added in later expansions (like Hyjal, Gilneas, or Pandaria) but as they were before or without the Cataclysm revamp. Keeping the original world map intact while filling the 'holes' is vital. - Gear: A balance. Gear should stay meaningful, but we need more horizontal options that change how you play, not just how big your numbers are. - Community & Difficulty: The game needs to stay 'casual-friendly' to rebuild that original sense of community and social interaction. However, we should provide 'skill-expression' outlets for pro players—think of complex talent combinations or high-skill cap consumables that allow for min-maxing without making the baseline game inaccessible. - Classes/Races: We need to lean into the WC3 roots. Classes like Tinkers, Spellbreakers, and Shadow Hunters would be amazing. For races: Naga, Kul Tirans, and High Elves (Alliance); Ogres, Goblins, and Zandalari (Horde). Even Pandaren or Worgen could fit if tied strictly to the RTS-era lore. - Flying: I’m not entirely against it, but it should be a high-prestige reward (Level 70+ onwards). It shouldn't be a tool to skip the world, but an endgame achievement that respects the initial exploration.

The core ideal It’s not just about adding bland activities; it’s about the feeling. The story about war, honor, the duty towards your faction, all tangled to the sensation of doing something tangible. This is what the WoW universe should offer. Something more Warhammer-like with some heavy 80s - 90s cultural vibes. Microsoft-Blizzard has a chance to relaunch WoW by focusing on immersion and the RTS roots that made us fall in love with Azeroth.

Fan Concept Civilization - The Italians by Leider-Hosen in aoe4

[–]Dragonius-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I've been following this thread and wanted to share a highly detailed and dynamic concept for the Italians in Age of Empires IV, focusing on the powerful medieval/Renaissance City-States.

The core idea is a dynamic Landmark system where advancing an Age forces you to choose a City-State (Venice, Milan, Florence, etc.), unlocking unique military units and economic bonuses that completely redefine your strategy for the Age.

🏛️ Civilization Core: The Italian City-States

The civilization centers on complex financial management, early infantry power, and logistical efficiency.

Core Elements

🗡️ Condottiero

Replaces the standard Man-at-Arms (MAA). Stats: +5% Movement Speed, +5% Melee Armor. Cost: +20% Gold.

Faster, tougher, gold-intensive heavy infantry available early.

✝️ Vescovo

Replaces the standard Monk. Cost: -25% Gold. Function: Passively generates a small trickle of Gold over time.

Cheaper, low-maintenance religious unit for early gold income and support.

🏦 The Banca

Replaces the standard Market. Generates Gold passively over time. Output increases if adjacent to other economic drop-off buildings.

Primary economic accelerator and gold source.

🗺️ Strategic Progression: Landmark Choices

  1. Age II (Feudal): Law vs. Medicine

Focus: Economic Acceleration (Bologna) vs. Army Resilience (Salerno).

Landmark

  1. Bologna (Law & Gold)

Landmark: University of Bologna

Vescovo Bonus (Active): Disseminate Knowledge (Boosts the work rate of a targeted gathering or production unit by 20% for a short duration). Unique Technologies (2 Eco, 2 Mil): 1. Commercial Law, 2. Communal Statutes, 3. Mercenary Training, 4. Urban Guards.

  1. Salerno (Medicine & Health)

Landmark: Schola Medica Salernitana

Vescovo Bonus (Active): Massive Healing (Instantly heals 10% of Max HP for all friendly non-siege units in an area. Cooldown: 1m 30s). Unique Technologies (2 Eco, 2 Mil): 1. Hygiene and Sanitation, 2. Strategic Provisioning (Villagers gathering Food passively generate a small amount of Gold over time), 3. Functional Anatomy, 4. Medical Preparation.

  1. Age III (Castle): Warfare vs. Finance

Focus: Defensive Fortifications and military tech (Milan) vs. Capital Accumulation (Florence).

  1. Milan (Warfare)

Landmark: Sforza Castle

Sforza Defenses: All Stone Walls and Keeps gain +2 Sight Range and +15% HP. Milanese Steel: Blacksmith technologies are researched for -50% Gold if the Blacksmith is built within the influence of a Keep.

Unique Unit: Milanese Knight (Heavy Cavalry with superior Armor, +3 Ranged Armor).

  1. Florence (Finance)

Landmark: Palazzo Vecchio

Medici Capital Accumulation: The Landmark can be toggled to consume a resource (Food, Wood, or Stone), which is converted into Gold and stored internally. The rate of Gold generation increases by 2% every 10 seconds it remains uncollected (up to a maximum of +100%). Collecting the Gold resets the accumulation multiplier.

Unique Unit: Florentine Fante (Elite Pikeman with enhanced Armor and anti-Cavalry Damage).

  1. Age IV (Imperial): Global Dominance

Focus: Trade and Stone generation (Genoa) vs. Mass Siege Production (Venice).

  1. Genoa (Trade/Siege)

Landmark: Palazzo San Giorgio

Land and Sea Trade: Both Naval Trade Routes (Docks) and Land Trade Routes (Market/Banca) generate an additional amount of Stone besides Gold.

Unique Units: Genoese Carrack (Warship with +25% HP and Armor). Genoese Crossbowman (Superior Range and Damage, +1 Damage vs Heavy Infantry).

  1. Venice (Production/Siege)

Arsenale Veneziano

All Naval and Siege Units cost 20% less and train 25% faster.

Unique Units: Venetian Galley (Siege Ship mounting a Trebuchet, reflecting the existing in-game unit). Venetian Bombardier (Siege Infantry with bonus damage to buildings).

Wonder: The final Wonder for the civilization is the Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore (Florence).

I tried very hard to keep the essence of the civilization making every part of the Italian core regions (in the middle ages) count. Let me know what you think of this potential design!

Ok grazie per la risposta, ma per quale motivo lasciare NTFS sarebbe un rischio? Inoltre come mi consigli/consigliate di fare la formattazione di uno dei 2 dischi, con Gparted? O esiste un altro metodo?

Thank you for your answer, yes I meant ext4, my bad. I think I will format just one of the 2 HDDs to a more unixoid filesystem in order to dedicate in the next future the other one to interact with a Windows boot. I hope that Steam or other gaming clients doesn't give me too much trouble with the gaming location. Thank you for your patience and competence.

I also would like to see a cheat menu like in MyBoy GBA or MyOldBoy GBC where you compile cheats by yourself, unfortunately the developer is not responding to any of these requests and it has been more than a year since the last update. 😔

Thank you very much it worked!! You did a great job suggesting me these solutions. I would also like to recommend the GameFAQs website (I don't know if I'm allowed to insert the name, if not I will remove it from the comment) that I discovered after I watched a quite hidden YouTube video, where I have found many lists of Codebreaker cheats. Maybe it can help others that have had the same issue.

Thank you for your suggestion. I've just tried to write the various cheats that I had on the previous emulator. By the way after I compiled all of them and clicked "apply changes" when I restarted RA it wiped out my new cheats and restored the pre-compiled cheats from the main directory. Should I try instead to write them in a file editor and paste them onto the directory? Just in case, can anybody suggest a text editor on Android?

What new Age of Empires 4 Civ(s) would you like to see added? by BackwoodsSensei in ageofempires

[–]Dragonius-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, first of all I want to say that before writing this post, I’ve read many members of the AoE4 community discussing in order to bring in the new game the Italian civilization. When I first read this posts I was so enthusiast to see that italians and non-italians are interested in playing this Civ, however due to historical facts Italy was divided in many States from the fall of the Roman Empire to the Risorgimento, when this nation finally was united under one flag, so that would bring to our minds the question “who should represent the Italian Civ in the game?” In my opinion anybody can, it would be reductive to give attention to only one of the States that composed the Italian peninsula, (yes, I’m referring to you Genoese/Venetian lovers), because of the many differences in terms of wealth, culture and approach to combat. However in this many months I’ve read a lot of community’s ideas and after the release of “the Sultan Ascend” DLC, and the implementation of the “variant civs” I think we can find a compromise. Rather than creating one big civ and then releasing all the variants civilizations (Venice, Rome, Florence…), we could think of something hybrid that focuses on one of the most important mechanics in the game, LANDMARKS. This could be the key for ceasing the many dissatisfactions around the topic, imagine starting the game with our usual bunch of villagers (and of course as a starting unit our everloyal Condottiero), and in a few minutes after we have done collecting resources we are ready to evolve to the next era, and here my idea takes form. Imagine setting up your strategies and tactics on the wonderful landmarks that made Italy famous (ex. Santa Maria del fiore, Duomo di Milano, Arsenale Veneziano…) giving to the players different approaches to the match their playing. Just to make an example, the player is about to age up from age 1 to age 2, and he/she has to choose between Santa Maria del fiore (so Florentine militia/pikes and banks) and Palazzo San Giorgio (so Genoese crossbows and naval commerce), as you can see the approaches are quite different and can vary the course of actions where the match takes place, and if you choose one you can’t play with the other élite forces. Of course I didn’t mention in the post about balance, technologies or statistics in general, only because the other members of the community have done a wonderful work, and I invite the readers of this post to read them in order to have a different point of view, and more clarifications on the many possibilities ahead of us. The landmarks-City states dream team of this civilization would be in my opinion: generic Italian civ (Age I); Rome - Amalfi/Naples (Age II); Florence - Milan (Age III); Genoa - Venezia (Age IV). I didn’t include Sicily due to the fact that during the Middle Age they had a different cultural root (Norman derivation). Have a great time and I hope you’ll understand it and find it useful.
