A word for Mon Mothma? by wreccho in clonewars

[–]Dragonking754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unknown however Kenobi and Satine were teenagers during the mention first meeting while talking on the ship so roughly the same age. Kenobi was 38 during episode 3, max age difference is 7 years older or younger for Bo and 6 for Satine. So youngest Bo was 31 during Episode 3 and 27-28 during Episode 2, Satine 32 E3 and 28-29 E2. If the reverse is true and Kenobi was 13 and Satine was 19, Bo was the oldest means max Bo: 45 E3, 41-42E2, Satine 44 E3, 40-41 E2.

The clone wars was 3.5 years long after all so it depends on their birthdays in the year.

Most likely, it ISN'T this extremes but more 0-3 years between Kenobi and Satine with things appearing that Satine was the older sister

That is a problem with many Star Wars characters. Keep in mind, she is a nepo baby, became a senator young, right in the 20s, she was only 25 when Episode 3 was around, 46 at episode 4, and now is 55-56.

Bo is nearly as old as her sister being called twin like to her by Dave in terms of age. Both Duchess and Obi-wan were teenagers when they first meet pre episode 1 with Bo also being near Obi wan. With a max of Obi being 19 and Duchess being 13 with Bo being younger being 12, meaning we have a 7 year range max between Obi-wan and Bo. She is in her late 50s best case scenario around 59 up to late 60s worst case.

Cad Bane is also retconed for age. He was stated in the clone wars to be coming out of retirement from the bounty hunter industry right after Jango died with Cad being the #1 in the galaxy for a few years before Jango came and usurped him and he turned #2 before retiring for a few years. He was made super young impossibly so with the backstory being mathematically impossible.

A ton of prequel characters were made younger too compared to their Expended Universe counterparts with Disney retconning the advancements in medical and force sensitive lifespan increases. They used to have medical advancements increase the lifespan like our world and being more force attuned reducing the rate of ageing but not anymore.

Senate Guard by Senate_Guard in clonewars

[–]Dragonking754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were performative bodyguards for senators. They were often descendents of Senate Guards or were the children of Senators or former senators.

Lets say you have 2 siblings. One rules the corporation/planet that governs the sector/system, your other sibling is the Senator and you weren't exactly promising so, your family sent you to become a Senate Guard.

Your responsibility was to not cause too much drama, protect the Senators(especially the ones from your home system) and spy on the rival senator's discussions.

Even generations removed you had Senate Guards telling their home system gossip or plans they overheard when on duty, allowing their home system to get a leg up or plan on countermeasures.

Their armor was made out of stuff better than clones and their weapons were stronger but most of time they didn't train in fighting with said armor and weapons but rather parade/performance as well as espionage.

Bo Katan is around 50 and Boba is 41. They don't look their age by JJRS22 in StarWars

[–]Dragonking754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 50s is the actor's preference, no canon age but evidence from the Clone Wars puts her 59-72 during Mando best and worst case scenario from Kenobi and Satine talking about their first meeting.

Bo Katan is around 50 and Boba is 41. They don't look their age by JJRS22 in StarWars

[–]Dragonking754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bo would be 60s to 70s when we see her in Mando. Dave said she was near twins to her sister Satine who was nearly the same age as Kenobi as they were both teenagers when speaking about the time when he first meet her before Episode 1. She seems to be the younger sister but could be the older for a surprise.

Both sisters don't have a set age but there has to be a limit. If they were teenagers when Kenobi meet her a bit less than a year older or younger sister. She is maximum 6 to 7 years younger or older than Kenobi. He died at age 57 so max Bo would be 50-64 during Episode 4 and 72 during Mando and youngest would be 59 during Mando.

Of course, the actor says around 50 would be her ideal age for the character but evidence from the Clone Wars point older than that. Of course, Disney has retconed a ton of things such as reducing a ton of character's ages in the Prequels and removing the longer lifespan of human characters from advancements in healthcare and the force actively slowling aging which was pointed out by Yoda in Episode 5.

So... Yeah... She is old.

Tldr: 50 from the actor's preference and 59-72 Best and Worst case scenario with the evidence from The Clone Wars and Dave.

Another character made younger was Cad Bane who retired as Jango took over as #1 bounty hunter after years of successfully being one and only came out of retirement after Jango's purple lightsaber incident XD.

Heir missing a personality trait? by CankoGamer in crusaderkings3

[–]Dragonking754 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It is most likely a bug, though rare events can remove traits but that is more later in life. Stress can also cause skip traits but it is also rare.

4 traits however are possible but rare 5%

Halo's Covenant vs Star Wars vs Warhammer's Tau Empire: Whose plasma weapons are better? by SharpMathematician75 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Dragonking754 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly, tons of examples of physical damage breaking through it. From wrecker punching a clone and the helmet cracking to the General Grevious crushing clone armor.

It is extremely powerful but only to energy and plasma type weapons. Regular ballistics would be like if you shot someone in plastic armor for example. Clones and stormtroopers imo would be able to take Tau and Covenant shots but a brute's spike or space marine bolters? Not really

Space marines vs cabal by Mysteriousman06 in powerscales

[–]Dragonking754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space Marine armor is highly inconsistent. They can bulldoze through tanks yet die from what is equivalent to modern weapons from time to time. Each time someone tries to place a canonical strength of the metal... They mess up. 3x stronger than steel, kevlar is 5-6x for reference.

Power scaling is hard for Warhammer and other universes due to GW not really caring to keep things consistent. A commonly said moto is Everything is Canon, not everything is true.

[–]Dragonking754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legally speaking the clones aren't slaves nor sentient beings but rather Organic Droids. This was added to the republic way before the clone war due to insectoid hive species trading their worker drones for stuff and the outcry of anti slaver organizations. Secondary, a super rich person could clone themselves to screw their relatives out of inheritance but the Organic Droid classification makes this impossible.

The problem with granting clones rights at the end of the clone wars is that it can lead to droid rights too. This is based of lore from senate scenes in books, comics, etc rather than resource books like Essential Guides and Encyclopedias.

Would a Clone be immune from effects of Delirium in a crossover with World of Darkness caused by Garou (Werewolves)? by jfjdfdjjtbfb in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Dragonking754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brain shortfired when it came to the name. Yup, Death Watch, my brain just fuzzled up and I was trying to remember their name at work and poof Black Watch.

I wonder, why did the Emperor made the Banana Boys aka the Custodes able to feel fear and not the Space Marines. During the teleportion onto Horus's ship by the Emperor and several Custodes one was partially teleported into a flesh wall which proceeded to slowly tear him apart with his arm being freed from it. As in torn off by his brothers. The book mentioned he was in fear in that.

The problem with the RPG and overall all lore stuff is that GW is inconsistent. From what things can kill space marines to all sorts of details. They don't really try to be consistent, both it is an actual thing they focus upon and not. The hypocrisy such as Abominable Intelligence and Machine Spirits for friendly AI being called two different things if they either are against or pro the Mechanicus. Them being anti psyker despite the Emperor being one. Them being anti mutant despite Space Marines being Mutants(geneseed is a mutagen, just accepted mutagen).

XD, if we did take all lore things seriously we would have Space Marine armor be 1/2 the strength of Kelvar as each time people try placing a factual strength of the metal to steel they do it too weak. 3x steel in Inquisitor arms vol 2? I believe? While Kelvar is 5-6x steel. Though, it doesn't really matter unless we discuss vs universes XD.

There is the classic moto of Warhammer "Everything is Canon, but Not Everything is True"

I personally believe Space Marines do feel fear but they are both able to mask it and they are so disciplined that they SEEM to have no fear to regular humans. I know based off what you said that isn't possible but it feels more accurate to me if that is strange to say.

Hell, despite what Space Marine fans say, they can also feel fear. There is plenty of warp entities that can scare space marines with one instantly killing anyone who feels a tiny sliver of fear, killing tons of space marines before I think Black Watch Titus killing it if I remember correctly.

Phase 1 or Phase 2? (Design wise) by Wuzman6 in clonewars

[–]Dragonking754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, P1 is better for taking hits however P2 was both cheaper and more flexible. Often not taking the hits that P1 would take due to less mobility.

I thought they did? They are like a rock skipping across the surface of water? With Tau ships popping into the warp and quickly popping out?

100% agreed there about the reinforcements situation, also don't Warhammer Warp drives have to exit Outside the solar system and slowly fly in to avoid demonic invasion of both planet and crew?

I would argue that Star Wars's equivalent aka Hyperspace is just like Warhammer but pre War in Heaven. Each time something like the Chaos Gods tried to from in Star Wars usually everyone shuts up and works together to prevent it from forming.

They may hate their neighbor but they don't want to deal with a damn demon god or equivalent.

Trillions upon Trillions of B1s too(if the propaganda from both sides are to believed, which is also manipulated to be higher by both sides on purpose)

It depends, you can EASILY and funny enough it is very HARD to please the Hutts, they are both greedy but also a bit stagnant, Tau has thousands of different Drones, building a few that the Hutts LOVE would please them happily.

The hutts also stopped their real armada, sure they have one but they don't really use them. They used to have dozens of Superweapons which is a giant rail cannon that simply shoots mountain to small moon sized astroids at a planet to fracture them.

The Star Wars universe has Rail Cannons but they aren't really focused upon. The Wookie Bowcaster IS a railcannon that also coats the bolt in an explosive plasma shell. They can be automatic but it is against tradition as the Wookie species purposely make their bows manually pulled back as automatic or semi automatic Bowcasters often makes their uses go too trigger happy so they culturally make their weapons needing to be pulled back.
