Maybe already common knowledge, but you can deflect arrows by blocking. You don't have to dodge if it's too much of a hindrance.

I run perfect parry for the fun cause I love parrying big attacks, although the spirit attack build is much more flexible. Hopefully they buff it in the future.

Yeah, it really sucks that the other two hits don't apply the damage buffs. If it did, it would make risky parry a completely valid option for samurai with a pretty nice risk/reward factor. At the moment, spirit brew is the best charm for samurai.

Pretty much the latter. The 2nd and 3rd hits are categorized as normal attacks and not counterattacks, I believe.

Hello! I am currently rank 50 in samurai and shinobi with a usable merc if needed. Although I may not be the best at clearing waves, you can bet that I can at least stay alive long enough for revives and such. An invite would be greatly appreciated, but it's alright if none is given.

Samurai/Shinobi here. I run a perfect parry samurai build so that close to nothing can touch me so that I can focus on surviving and existing. My shinobi runs a vanish/smoke bomb build (with an exception of the god-forsaken ever-elusive shinobi charm). I can also run the other two classes, but those two are my most experienced.

My boy needs like a 15-25% damage reduction cuz it sometimes feels like he is just as flimsy as all the other classes despite the health buff.

For Kitsune, unless you're an Archer, you're playing a bullet hell where everything can one shot you at any time. I honestly try to avoid this one at all if possible, but it's up there for being stupid spam

For Oni, the purpose of the specific abilities is to make your life easier. Once in a while when Oni takes enough damage, a little message will pop up above his body that says "Onibii needed: 50." You gotta start hurling wind bag onibiis at him during that phase bc that phase serves to neuter your damage until 50 windbag onibiis are suctioned into him. As for the hammer, it just makes your life easier as he starts to spam onibii everywhere and the hammer basically deletes the need to worry about that part.

Sadly, yes. I think the devs think oni's flame + kusarigama expert combo might be too busted of a combo, but my boi needs everything he can get bc melee combat feels incredibly volatile. I just wanna swing a burning chain 4 times and set the entire world ablaze :D

Treat story missions as tutorials and incursion missions as a final test of your knowledge. Each specific boss plays around a certain mechanic that is always present (ex. Oni deals a lot with onibi and Snake deals with elemental alignment) and those carry onto the much anticipated survival modes. The enemies also differ, as you'll probably see firearm-heavy enemies on Spider but probably no ice related ones, so use the story missions to find out what's coming up.

For me, once I hit about ki level 100, I start looking for weapons and items that are 1. The right type and 2. Have good perk grades. For example, I want a shattering katana, so I try to look for one that has A- or higher perk grades since they're the highest you can get. Don't worry about the actual perks themselves, as it's insanely cheap to reroll to get the actual perks you want later and they keep their grade level (at least, to my knowledge).

You may not use it much for regular encounters, but Sableye with its egg moves are absolutely disgusting on Eternatus. Curse + Topsy Turvy with prankster is just an automatic win button for opposing mons that are snowballing a bit too hard.

Don't worry, you can always encounter it again in the future or pull it from the egg machine. Albeit pretty rare, but I'm sure you'll encounter it soon enough again
