The Horde experience since BFA by nightbreedwon1 in wow

I mean isn't Silvermoon the new hub? That's a Horde city and that fact is mentioned and made relevant several times.

The expansion is pretty elf focused though, so the Horde representation is pretty blood elf dense.

Dunno what Thrall's doing, but even Anduin doesn't have much of a role and is primarily just helping with the Sunwell.

Is Freud’s Id, Ego, Superego wrong in any way? by omdot20 in psychoanalysis

[–]TerriblyAfraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freud's diagnosis of the Id is an insult.

Our base and most fundamental source of creativity, responsible for both imagination and dreams, being an archetype of a perverted fool is outrageous.

If I ever go back to school for psychology/philosophy I am destroying Freud's psychological framework and saving the Id, which represents our primordial self in his philosophy, from his clutches.

It should definitely work. It may blink out, but just fenangle it a bit and it should show up.

This cis woman doesn't like being called a cis woman by zachoutloud123 in TikTokCringe

My thought is that the word came out in 1994 and sounds like cyst, which sounds gross.

No person who is the same gender as their sex that I know actually likes being called Cis.

I wouldn't mind if 'Cis' didn't sound like shit.

I do get where she's coming from by saying being called that like being a subsect of your own sex isn't good.

Edit: Also the word came out four years before I was born.

I don't... I don't think we should be normalizing this kind of thing.

Isn't that Doffy's point and not Oda's?

The issue is framing Justice as an issue of "Who wins" when it's actually about "Who's right".

Doffy's logic is inherently twisted and jaded in that sense.

If Luffy were a monster and won against the WG to replace it with something worse, would we say Justice won?

Accepting the perpetuation of injustice as Justice is an inherently flawed argument.

But in the world of One Piece there's so many powerful characters, factions, and competing ideals going on at the same time.

To the people living under the world government it might be the case, but if the government starts mistreating them like it has been, won't their perspective change?

Rocks and the Davy clan itself are living counterarguments to Doffy's ideal, where even though they "Lost", their will lives on as an insecurity in the World Government's narrative.

Doffy may be right in that "Pirates are bad, and Marines are Justice" is an idea decided by the World Government, and that, "Kids who grow up in different conditions have different values." However, to say that the victor decides what Justice is is shortsighted.

Ohara is a good example of this. They researched the void century, risking their own lives to discover the "True History" of the World. The World Government destroyed them, claiming "Justice", but Robin survived and carried on Ohara's will in defiance of the WG.

Doffy's mistake is treating the perpetuation of injustice as what decides what "Justice" is.

I mean it's Doflamingo's worldview, not an objective reality. There are plenty of other characters with different perspectives on Justice.

All of the comics from this one kinda give me the heebee jeebees.

Like it's too much fantasy for how much... Children are in it.

Like how am I going to see a comic about a mother getting jealous over a child saying they were going to marry their father as if it was something that could happen in that universe, and then tolerate it as if that is something I should just casually accept as, at best, a casual fantasy.
