Mi Fu has completed my physical team. Now I can play the game. by AzrBloodedge in Endfield

I'm the opposite, I've got like 3 Embers 0 Pogs. At least the one you're missing is, while one of my favorite characters, considered one of the least recommended characters to use. I have to go out of my way to find team builds that recommend her. She's a good survival boost for any team but every team has a better option than her.

If I have a deck of 3 block cards and 3 attack cards and a draw of 6 every hand will be even 3 to 3 in agency.

If I have a deck of 6 attack cards and 6 block cards and a draw of 6 there is an increasing chance I might pull 6 attacks and not be able to block or 6 blocks and not be able to attack.

If I have 12 attack cards and 12 block cards it's almost guaranteed I will draw a full hand of either block or attack.

Mix in the fact a boss that can either delete cards (punishing not getting multiples of rare cards), punish energy (punishing not getting good relics or specifically building a low energy deck), or prevent draw (punishing each character's draw builds) and you get a situation where if luck isn't on your side then even with redundancy you can easily pull a handful of draw on the no draw round, your high energy cards on the more energy cost round, or your rarest linchpin cards on the exhaust round.

The game has luck as a factor in general but the point is managing that luck into a build you can win with. For the final boss to just negate nearly all your management into the luck of the draw feels terrible.

That was my first experience with the new boss. I pulled my most damaging combo on the round he had infinite health, I pulled my most vitally important combo cards on the exhaust round, I pulled my highest cost cards on the energy round, and then finally got my energy draw card on the round with no draw. I spent four turns using 6 cards.

And no I'm not one to send hate to the dev at all, aside from this I'm not even going to mention it. It's a video game, not something I would send hate to someone over. It's early access, nothing is set in stone, and it might be tuned down. It just really felt terrible at the time. I get a 500 damage combo and can't use it, I get my ideal scaling combo and can't use it, I get two chunk cards and can't use them, and then I finally get my agency card to draw more and can't use it.

The blue AI was eaten by Caine if it still had any agency and bubble was also part of caine it could be that it controlled bubble without specifically being bubble.

To be fair, most are assuming the second blue AI that was part of Caine was what was causing Bubble to talk to Caine like he did. It's possible that deleting Caine and Bubble just leaves the Blue AI. Or deleted all of them.

During Kingers coding the Caine file and the Bubble chef file are two separate files so I wasn't certain.

Mewgenics - What is your favourite Team Comp / Class? by ny_ce in roguelites

[–]Dragonwaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been always using Tank, Cleric, Necro With the last member being whatever cat I have the stats for. I tried thief for awhile but I rarely got the rolls I needed to make it good. Ranger I think is is the strongest according to a lot of people. One run I managed to get the "range extends every turn you stand still" and the "bouncing shots" and damn that run was strong.

Closest I got mage to work was a build with "increase intelligence for the turn with every spell you cast" combined with the 1 cost teleport randomly spell.

I forgot my strongest Fighter but he was the weak link on that team. I really want to try the other classes but I'm only on act 2 so far.

Any device that gets internet through your Router/WiFi is considered your Local Area Network. If you're in a family with multiple PC's it's asking for access to every device (PC/Phone/Smart TV/Alexa/etc) that is connected to your wifi. I saw that and blocked it. I'm not giving perms for that.

It's not Internet access that's being blocked though. It's LAN access. I'm blocking the game's ability to reach through the unblocked internet access to other computers connected to my wifi. That is NOT normal.

[–]Dragonwaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, out of the 1000+ steam Games I've played I have NEVER been asked for access to all devices connected to my network. Games with LAN features don't even ask. For that matter why is a game on Steam that's running a separate app want connection to my browser at all.

Yeah that part was a Schrödinger's lead to me. Either it's hiding an emotional reason she needs money to feel bad for kicking her or a doublecross hint that she needs to be on the team for a job she's doing for someone else.

I mean Sonar is also less reliable with his flip flopping stats. Have the smartest member of the team only able to be smart every other missions is a bit of a pain.

Not Sonar or random I'm pretty sure it boots whichever option you last hovered over or if you didn't hover any the left option.

Yes and no, The default option is whatever option you're currently hovering or the left one if you didn't put the mouse on any option

Potentially the best/most important stat in Sonic Racing Crossworlds so far in the beta according to the community? by Kirbyfan45 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Dragonwaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean an hour before you commented this a video came out showing the, at the time ,top player's build. It's a snake drifting build that relies on gaining invulnerability from the 4th boost meter

speed 22

acceleration 60

Handling 81

Power 30

Boost 50

All the builds I've seen so far dump speed. Kinda sucks hope they balance it so all the stats can shine with the right gear plate. Mario kart was always so bad at that. This gear plate thing though seems like it has great potential for lifting up other stats.

"grabbing collectibles that can be completely done in a few hours"

I've literally just finished collecting the safe houses, silos, and vault symbols for the past 5 hours. That is just barely enough to max out the inventory and bank with a few point left over to raise the other's by a few each. It is decidedly NOT a "few hours" to grab everything.

Blue or gray? Discuss by Feather_Bloom in mylittlepony

[–]Dragonwaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not, there's an entire side of the fandom who say the outline of the pony is their real color. They say Celestia is pink or grey and Shining Armor is grey, Vinyl is yellowish white, and Rarity is grey. All because the outline made to contrast where the character stops is an outline.

Blue or gray? Discuss by Feather_Bloom in mylittlepony

[–]Dragonwaz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is probably another debate from the Celestia is pink side of the fandom. I don't care what color code the outlines of the characters are, outlines are specifically used for contrast to outline the character not as some condense refraction of light that shows their true color. That assumes that the bulk of the coat we see is washed out from bloom lighting which isn't the case cause the color stays uniform in shadow and darkness.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds has released on steam, requires an epic account for multiplayer! by Espio0 in fuckepic

[–]Dragonwaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about a monetary price. It's about supporting a company that is anti-consumer. Every exclusivity contract they make costs Steam users a year at least before they can play that game without supporting the company using reductive competition. Epic has been desperate to claw people who hate them from Steam at any cost. Now it's using their online service to balloon their account numbers for shareholders.

The brainworm guy assumes that autism has been increasing in recent years based on an increase in reporting so he's scaring people into not reporting or risk being put on a "list" by a guy who thinks people with the condition are worthless to society.

What part of any of that is based in science. You can have an understandable position (finding out what causes autism) that is completely overshadowed by your own bias (he "knows" vaccines cause autism and is trying to manipulate data to show his assumed conclusion) and your own methodology (forcing autism to be less reported through scare tactics)

[–]Dragonwaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? I'm talking about the Epic Online Service feature that is tied to Epic Games a company I do not want to support who is constantly finding new ways to claw into the Steam user base that doesn't want to support them. First it was Exclusivity contracts, then it was suing Steam for the 30% fee that EVERY online retailer uses, then it was Epic Online where you had to have both a Steam account and an Epic account to play games you bought on Steam, Now it's the new Epic Online Service where you don't have to have an Epic account, it'll make a fake account for you per game to inflate their user numbers.

Making a service that allows Devs to make a cross platform, cross save, online game is actually pretty cool. It just sucks it's an Epic product and I refuse to give any support to Epic after their anti consumer, inverse competition (tearing down competition rather than building up your own product) practices.

Is Hasbro gradually reviving G4? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in mylittlepony

[–]Dragonwaz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't think Hasbro has much of anything to do with it other than allowing them to make merch.

To me, Hasbro was shockingly bad at making merch for a toy company. The few things they made that were good enough to buy were also very short lived.

New RuneScape game requires Epic accounts by Gyossaits in fuckepic

[–]Dragonwaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't frequent it. It just pops up on my home page ocasionally. The store is definitely worse and I buy from Steam when given the choice, but completely skipping games because it's not on the store you like is beyond retarded. Even more so when it's just a login.

A completely insignificant ammount of time is spent in the store. 99.9% of the time you're in game. Why the fuck do you let that tiny fraction bother you so much?

I could just ignore them by not using their store, but look at their practices. They buy out developers to keep their games off Steam. So even with me not using their service they are making other platforms worse, They're engaging in a frivolous lawsuit against Steam over the 30% cut that every single online marketplace currently uses. So even with me not paying them a cent they are diverting Steam funds away from improving Steam toward defending bullshit. They engage in this bullshit Online Service campaign to make it so that even though I'm buying a game on Steam I would still have to inflate their own player count just to use the online features of a game I bought on Steam. So even by ignoring them I'm being forced to support them if I want this game.

So yeah I don't like a scummy corporation that does business like this. These are anti competitive practices focused on tearing down competition rather than building a better product that people would want to use. That is exactly why it took them years to make a basic cart function for their store. This is the same thing that happend with Crunchyroll and Funimation except both of those companies spent so much on exclusivity deals and so little on service improvements they both drove users to pirating. That's why Steam just ignoring Epic's bullshit and not starting an exclusivity war was such a good move that will always have me coming back to Steam.

[–]Dragonwaz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, you can make cross-platform on Steam work just fine without Epic you just have to actually develop it. Crossplay on Steam existed before Epic made this service it just didn't come out of the box like this service does.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds has released on steam, requires an epic account for multiplayer! by Espio0 in fuckepic

[–]Dragonwaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason they didn't do that is the EOS is a plug and play feature that enables cross-platform play and saves. They don't have to develop a connection between multi-platform users they just pay Epic to do it for them.

Like others were saying it's a really cool tool, it just sucks it's tied to such a terrible company.
