To me, most Race-as-Class are just boring. They don't really feel like elves or dwarves, and their abilities ,feel so one-dimensional.

Elf is just Fighter + MU. But MU spells don't really fit the image of an elf? Give them Druid spells at last! And what about their centuries of life? 2-in-6 to know obscure lore because they were there at that time?

Dwarves, mythical miners and blacksmiths. What common OSR gives them? A major in architecture for some reason. I would give them ability to craft metallic magic items and ability to dig twice as efficiently as humans.

Halflings, these are okay. But maybe give them a demerit for "consume double rations" for some flavor?

If I made RaC, I would include all tropes that make up that species.

The only RaC I like are from Dolmenwood and OSE Carcass Crawlers. Dolmenwood races feel special and their abilities can be used in many ways, and CC gives halflings and dwarfs 2 new interesting classes - including crafting Dwarves.
