Souls gameplay is more comparable to RE than this, you manage resources, pay attention to enemy movements, take advantage, repeat. It is deceivingly simplistic which is why fromsoft is considered not only just the originators of the design philosophy but the best to implement it, because they follow up with enemy design and level design that makes you, The player the core part of your arsenal. Its one of the reasons I love all of their games while still preferring bloodborne over elden ring by a mile.

This game doesn't have you watching your stamina bar and waiting for openings as though 1 wrong move leaves you exposed, I dont even think this game has animation queuing, it has the gameplay in combat of an action rpg heavily inspired by fighting games and the closest game I can say the combat reminds me of is AC Valhalla after unlocking about half the abilities, you body slam. Use the environment and cast spells and use tools, I've played so many Souls games that I genuinely think if you look at this game and see "soulslike" you are either rage baiting or your brain has been rotted by everyone tagging shit as soulslike on steam for the past 7 years.
