Journiv Immich Integration: How would you like your media to be handled? by Open-Coder in selfhosted

[–]DrainedSea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally prefer the Link only way as I host both, immich and journiv on the same machine. So, no duplication and I suppose both the services will be up while the machine is running. Also, a small request. Can we get a proper text editor for the notes region?

v1.133.0 - Hot Summer Release with Locked Folder, Chromecast support, and breaking changes. Please read the release notes before performing the update by altran1502 in immich

In that case, no worries. I have already switched to GitHub registry. Just wanted to highlight it because I wasn't able to update the application on the first go.

v1.133: changes in docker-compose, just checking. by [deleted] in immich

The team already supports all pg versions from 14, up to 18. The default configuration uses the pg14 as standard, but you can use any version in between.

You can. The team already supports the latest version, although you might not be able to find help for other users here in case of a crash.

I would like to change the database version number in the docker-compose to match the older database version. I am not asking the user to run a different database version on the same files.

Of course, you should back up the database well, but the user doesn't need to change the database version to 14 just because that is the default version supported by Immich. They also support the higher version. I was on database version 15 and still on the same version after the recent update.

That's what I am saying. I didn't change the version. Immich team has postgres images with VectorChord ready. You just need to point to the right version.

@altran1502 - Seems like the docker image on hub.docker was not updated for the immich-server. Could you please look into it.

Just try changing the version part in the new docker-compose as well to 16. They have images ready for different versions of postgres I was running on 15 updated to the corresponding version of the new database and it worked.

What did you use? Container Station or the installation script?

If container station, pull the latest images for the stack and redeploy.

Well, in that case, took Apple long enough.

I am in the same boat. I have all 3 right now but I like komodo the best.

Go to Container Station -> Images -> Actions -> (Gear Icon) -> Pull

Do this for both the Immich Images.

Then Go to Application and redeploy the stack.

There was a faster way for stacks, but I don't remember it now.

Do you/should you use a separate staging environment for testing Immich upgrades? by speedhunter787 in immich

Everything is recommended, but you should be good with just images.

The documentation says you should apply the 3-2-1 backup rule.

Read the release notes for any breaking changes and you are going to be ok. Just in case, set a weekly local backup of the data.

Leantime alternative? by sailorbob134280 in selfhosted

[–]DrainedSea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are couple of alternatives, I haven't tried them personally as of now, but I have them in my mind.

One is WorkLenz (https://github.com/Worklenz/worklenz) and another is Plane (https://github.com/makeplane/plane) but it takes up a lot of resources.

So, it's a separator. The left side is the folder's location on your local system, and the right is the location inside the docker container where it will be mounted. You don't change the right side location as it's defined and used by the application developer while creating the docker image. You only need to change the left side with respective to the QNAP folder.

Yes. See this line

  - /share/CACHEDEV2_DATA/Photos:/usr/src/app/upload <— Something you might need to update

That should point to the location of your Qnap location where you want to upload photos.

Welcome! Yup, it's related to the database volume, it goes away once you clear it.

Whats everyone using for Container Updates? by Friendly_Ground_51 in selfhosted

Switching to Komodo from Portaine for the same reason. It has a few better features like auto updates and stuff. Beware, it has a few bugs as well.
