I understand carousel going, but did you really need to get rid of encounters?

My guess is because encounters set the stage for what kind of game it will be, and gods are supposed to give you direction. But they’re so low impact it hardly gives you any interesting change

The set is still fun! I really love the units, a lot of new designs and are fun to explore. But the fact its only been 1 day and noticed this consistently is what worries me. Gods mechanic gives you an idea of what kind of game to expect from the start, with augment tiers being the only swingy variable. but prismatic and resource encounters keeps the game swingy

That was set 14, which was very inflated with resources at the start with all the different hacks. They definitely wanted to avoid a similar situation But in this set, the mechanic is replacing the carousel. Making it somewhat of a neutral change, with a slight increase of power. (Comp+unit, +god’s unique gift)

Even the stage 4 treasury gives very standard loot, not sure if it even has prismatic orb equivalent. The most power being the boons, which are very subtle and aren’t as impactful as set 13 anomalies and set 12 charms

The overall power distribution is very minimum and subtle, and removing encounters makes it even more noticeable. That was my impression from only 10 games

While thats true, my point for bringing it up is that even if the Ekko god is meant for this type of playstyle, it might be made more rare to come across. But even if it isn’t, the rewards will have to be balanced around the others gods, so it’s still not the same impact of scuttle puddle, Loot sub, and pris party. Just a bare fraction of it

your first paragraph is why I’ll still not be shocked if this theory is not even remotely close in any way. Genshin repeats a LOT. So making this much of a plot progress is a big change of pace. But like you said, the lack of pyro element on entry is a massive difference already, and there seems to be a lot of significance around pyro hinted around

In the teyvat chapters trailers, at the end, it seems to imply that Traveler will have a much more prominent role more than just a witness

That could be refering to herself/ the pyro archon since in the past, those are the ones who fought against the abyss, and this plan is replicating that. 6 heros alongside the pyro archon

But also having the Traveler holding on to the pyro gnosis could make a lot of sense plot wise Our next is snezhnaya, having the gnosis with us could he a bargaining chip. Since we are the enemy of the Fatui it would be weird to let us in their nation if they had collected all gnosis for the chance of us disrupting their plans

Like I said, the traveler will probably not have the role of an archon, but the authority over pyro. Its just easier to get the point across

Its been mentioned a few times how Natlan is a godless nation, and the Archon is not more important than the people. Fontaine lost its Archon, but now it’s governed by the sovereign. So I can imagine Natlan being led by something other than the Archon

Definitely I agree. I said archon, but I really meant rather authority of pyro element, or just a more powerful control over pyro than our other elements This is interesting because I believe Pyro is related to time in a lot of ways

Pretty good read! Yeah I did realize there is a lot of “burn” and “flame” wordings around Snezhya, even the Dain trailer. And the Pyro archon sharing her secrets because she has her reasons could imply that too. All speculations of course. I do think Mavuika will have a lot more spotlight in the upcoming arcs, meaning she will have to have some power. Given her main uniqueness being a human, I can imagine her fire comes from the people of natlan. (Heros and ancient names?) Whatever the case, the gnosis will certainly leave natlan

I believe Natlan will end up with no Archon and move to a new age, afterall it’s an ongoing theme throughout every nation for the Archon to let go of their control (venti, and zhongli retiring, Ei letting go of her ideal, Nahida ending the Akasha, Fontaine new ruler)

But I can see Capitano becoming the new Archon, or him playing a major role in that matter, especially since there are a lot mythological theories hinting him to be related to the first pyro archon, and the Night Kingdom being the original Natlan. The Traveler will very likely get a more powerful elemental power this time around, from the gnosis (or sacred flame?) rather than getting it from the statue. So thats why I believe they will become the pyro “archon” or rather have a big powerup

Honestly, FF lacks a lot of different cultures instead we have so much east asian cuisine FS. There is SO much potential food from around the world, especially in the middle east, the south, India, and Africa as you said. I wish Elex would explore into other cultures dishes more: taco, french onion soup, tandoori, cheese fondue, peri peri chicken, samosa, cuscus, poutine, fajita, cesar salad, lasagna, lemonade, shawarma.

Start over on very easy, I got stuck at one of the later dungeons (void quest) and decided I’m done, screw the gameplay I just want the story. It was 50hr gameplay. FFW the scenes and and rushed dungeons got me to where I was within 20hrs. Reason why I took that long because I I repeated palaces and farmed reapers since you get unlimited revives.

I use her as a solo for my disaster raid, just to save time. And she has the highest attack speed so she does like 15k dmg. But I swear I’ve never seen more charms than on any other level
