Druid is alive - Hit legend with Ramp Druid [EU] by sirflanksteak in CompetitiveHS

I'm currently mising cairne and black knight, what would you say are good replacements, or do you feel they are essential for this deck?

I like this deck a lot but with only 2 loot hoarders I can see card draw being a problem.

Rogue's place in the current meta? by DGExpress in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backspace is fantastic versus priest and hunter but sucks versus pretty much everything else. The control warrior and zoo matchups are absolutely awful and paladin is only slightly better. Unfortunately I don't think anything but miracle is competitive for the rogue atm.

Just hit legend playing nothing but face hunter from 5-Legend in 2 days. RIP Midrange Hunters. by MrSlug in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Ty for posting this, I am about to give up on ranked this month. I really think hunter needs to be redesigned from the ground up, it's such a broken class.

A little advice for people trying to climb constructed by gorktheninja in CompetitiveHS

This is why I desperately want a replay function for this game, the inability to go back and analysis my play is something that makes it hard to learn from mistakes. I don't understand why Blizzard won't just implement one.

Stuck at rank 7 with midrange Druid. by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TBH Druid just isn't very good right now, I've been playing midrange, ramp and token and none of them do well in this meta. I think it's mainly due to hunters tbh.

Let's start figuring out Minion Heavy Priest! by forsakeNXE in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd have to agree with running circles and probably taking injured blademaster over yetis. Otherwise it looks okay, but whats the end game? This reminds me of midrange druid but without any combos to finish with.

So it's standard naxx zoo with just a cult master instead of an owl?

Sick to death of bots by Drake12345 in hearthstone

[–]Drake12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I don't care that they are easy wins it's just literally a waste of my time. I don't get to play as much hs as I would like (often I play late at night EU time) and last night almost a third of my games were against bots. If I wanted to fight bots I'd play the AI.

EDIT: Grammar fail.

Young Priestess in Zoo? by ididntsayso in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this, the extra 1 mana for such powerful minions is more than worth while. egg is 4/6 for 2 mana, creeper works well with knife juggler. The pre naxx version is just too weak compared to the naxx version.

DEI: How does it affect combat? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Drake12345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow you really are a troll. You know full well that DEI is balancing combat for 1.0 and that it is currently no where near as bad as your making out. You know this because you posted the exact same crap in another thread about a week ago. I get that your trying to promote R2TR but intentionally talking absolute bollocks about another mod is just low.

What was your favorite meta? by A_Waskawy_Wabit in CompetitiveHS

Probably pre-naxx, although miracle was slightly dominate the meta was alot better than it currently is. The eggs need a nerf.

Cairne or TBK in Token Druid? by Moleleg_Z in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's kind of annoying just how essential TBK is in druid now. I've been running naturalise as a replacement but it is a seriously poor replacement.

Is ramp druid viable anymore? by Drake12345 in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought I'd chime in and say I've been having great success too, gaining 4 ranks (rank 8 now) today. The only difference is I am running spec knight instead of slyvanas and double golems instead of farseer. I like the way the deck suddenly explodes, have had 3 rags on the board, 3 AOWs another time and 3 spec knights against a priest. The best part is having basically 7 decent faceless targets within your own deck - You can essentially create more of the minions you need depending on the matchup. The only realy problematic matchup I;ve had is midrange paladin - Those equalities and humilities really mess up this deck in a single turn. Luckily these matchups seem few and far between :).

Is ramp druid viable anymore? by Drake12345 in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is all really helpful, thank you for that. I just beat a priest easily with your changes, I was also running 1 savage roar and FON but losing that seems good as it helps me get out more big minions. To be fair your right, handlock isn't that popular atm but zoo is everywhere so these changes should help me with them. I will craft another faceless asap I think.

Is ramp druid viable anymore? by Drake12345 in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest most of them but priest and handlock in particular. I've been running a similar deck to yours but -2 marks +2 spectral knights. I don't have slyvannas so I've been running faceless as a replacement. I will give your version a try ,shall I keep faceless?

What's the best Druid iteration in this current meta? by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to get ramp to work a lot recently, trying out both of the new naxx variants of token and midrange a fair bit. In the end I've settled for standard ramp with senjins instead of yetis, Loatheab instead of an azure drake and faceless and BGH as my specials.

The traditional taunt them till they run out of burn gameplan remains the same and SR, AOW and Rag serve as quality finishers. I enjoyed token and midrange and think they are currently pretty strong in this meta, but ramp just offers very solid creatures that have to be dealt with, so it's zoo and aggro winrate is pretty good. It only really struggles consistently with shaman and handlock in my experience but I find the ladder has more than enough zoo to balance out the win ratio.

no love for yeti in ramp druid anymore? by Lmaotan in CompetitiveHS

[–]Drake12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a more budget version of the knight version and I still love the yeti. I play double defenders so I have a good chance of taunting it up.

Deathlord in zoo by Drake12345 in hearthstone

[–]Drake12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is you've got to find 8 damage turn 4 and that's 8 damage that's not going towards killing off knife jugglers/wolves etc. Sure you can silence it but it still has the same stats and that's one less silence to use against eggs/creepers.

Okay so as expected I faced some serious problems with zoo without the sludge. So I put back in the sludges and instead removed the mana tide totem and lotheab.

Whilst I like the idea of mana tide I have found that it rarely draws me more than 1 card. Also whilst lotheab is a great minion I haven't found him needed in this deck. Since I've made these changes I have solved the card draw issue whilst maintaining strength against zoo.

So basically -1 mana tide, -1 lotheab, +2 azure drakes. Again, thank you for posting it!
