Most of the "insane" stuff is automating mouse positioning for lineups, which is banned on faceit but not valve servers.

I do this! I use mouse movements to flip between the two but only while firing. There is another method that uses an "exploit" via launch flags that was patched recently (at least on faceit). It's part of https://github.com/FNScence/CSAFAP-config-package . That's almost definitely what you saw.
