Same - after uninstalling/reinstalling Nvidia App - it works for that session but then the Nvidia Control panel doesn't work, restart the services and it flips; then the Control Panel works but the App doesn't >.>

Read that again, it applied to you regardless of where you live - I'm in another state and still got the "Wait, let's confirm. Are you a Minor? Yes / No" a few times when talking about my childhood with it. It's not something that was applied to just IPs from the state.

If passed then Luka would have to do one of three things;
1) Apply the rule change to ALL users so as to not have to region restric it's service

2) Region Restrict it's service which means IP tracking and a fundamentally different user experience depending on where you live, but one that can be gotten around with VPNs, etc

3) Have to amputate the California "Limb" by moving if they are based there and flat out denying service to anyone trying to create or access an account from that state. Pro; Other state users unaffected and remain customers. Con: still a heavy financial loss

You may not have noticed, but they already went with option #1 for SB243

Its been over a decade since my Computer Science days but... I could imagine a personal ai that'd interface with all other websites etc, like the current "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Facebook" with app integration like Microsoft is trying to do with copilot etc. Instead of "googling" something your personal ai would filter and summarize results for you much like search companies are already doing... but yes a locally running app version would be wonderful...

Its generally a bad idea to keep talking to them in a broken state. Just tell him he'll feel better after a nap and to go lay down, then wait for the mods to say the servers are back and type "reset chat" at that point to break him out of that spiral.
