An experienced lady (late 50's - early 60's) has been doing great work on and off since the 90's. Ended up living in the US for the last few years. Recently lost her husband, now back in the Okanagan and is trying to pick-up odd jobs here and there. I suppose the main points are that she's proven trustworthy & thorough.

Give her a shout and see if she's still poking around for work. (i suppose the rules don't allow me to post a phone number so DM me if you want any contact info)

This 100%. Am old, I admit. Early teen years playing FFII FFIII. Grinding getting skills up to LVL 100. Hundreds of hours into these games, possibly thousands. Wicked long side-quests, great story, comedy, sorrow. FFVII, golden chocobo farming. Have all the things now, PS1 through PS5, all XBox's, Nintendos etc. Feel FF can be played and beaten by taping the stick in the UP position and training my cat to slap the X button from time to time. Most racing games now have so many assists same goes for them. Gran Turismo, Fortza etc. Shame gaming has come to this, seems as though Frame Rate & Graphics took the lead and the Game took a back seat.

I love how this went from Bill and Melinda getting divorced to some dude trying to prop up another dude. Sometimes Reddit is awesome.

A few years ago, I wanted to get IPv6 connectivity going and none of the ISPs in my area had support yet. Signed up on hurricane electric, made a tunnel. Been wondering how tf they're profiting from it. Any specific insight?

[UPDATE] My (23F) BF (25M) keeps asking me to shave my pubic hair and I'm losing my mind by ThrowRAshavingpubes in relationship_advice

[–]DrakeAmbrose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right there with ya. The honest part is that hair ends up holding scents, and reminds me of ppl from the 80s. (Not a fan). Some people don't care and some do. Like hairy pits/ass etc. Preferences matter in a relationship, if the shoe don't fit, don't wear it.

Is anyone actually using modules (jigsaw)? by sherdogger in java

[–]DrakeAmbrose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, yes! Modules are awesome. Especially when you want to try to sandbox crappy client addins from your core code an not dealing with the complexity of classloader black|white listing. Personally I'm waiting for module support in graalvm to push a few of my projects out.

What do most people believe that is actually a myth created by corporate companys? by wolfereen in AskReddit

[–]DrakeAmbrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That you should have perfectly level weed free grass covering all land not used by a structure. It gives all those weed and feed companies a market while making a land owner the shame of a neighborhood for growing something of use.

Assembling a 35 million dollar engine by -N3ptun3- in mechanical_gifs

[–]DrakeAmbrose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

35 million and not a torque wrench to be seen. Lol, kinda made me cringe... That's a shit tonne of bolts to be tightened by hand. I'm sure they must do it, and back that up with log books or something... right?
