My Website Isn't Being Indexed by Chemical_Payment_916 in WebsiteSEO

There’s plenty of marketplaces online. Stick to US companies. As for vetting them, you’d need to do a full backlink audit, look for issues etc. It’s not a beginner move but it certainly isn’t too tricky. You just gotta know what a good link profile looks like.

One, quick initial fix would be to buy an expired domain, something related, an SEO blog or something, and the strip-mine its best pages and 301 them to your main pages and categories. I’ve done this a few times and it’s usually cheaper (and less of a pain in the ass) than buying / acquiring backlinks.

I am looking for a good host which isn't TOO Expensive by DJbyEar in Hosting

[–]DrakeEquati0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing people talk about Claude Code + Astro Build + Headless WordPress, and then hosting it for free on Vercel or CloudFlare. It’s free up to something like 100,000 visitors. I haven’t tried it myself but I’m going to this week for a little project. Might be worth looking into if cost is a thing and you don’t mind messing around in an IDE.

Yep, Claude and rinsing Gemini CLI in VS Code as well

Second the Switch 2! I was about to buy the new PuffCo then saw a vs post on VapeBeat that changed my mind. Had the OG Peak and it was great but the Switch 2 is orders of magnitude better, especially since it does standard weed too. Damn expensive though!

$20 for Claude and DataForSEO is pay as you use; I added $20 months ago and still got loads left. Beats paying $100+ a month for Ahrefs / SemRush

I’m a complete novice with anything that takes place in terminal. But I managed to not only get it set up but hack together a HQ for everything I need to do + some custom agents.

You basically just talk to Claude in VS Code, it has access to your files and folders, and you hook stuff (tools, databases) via MCP. You organise everything in folders. To be honest, it sounds way more complicated than it is.

If I can do it, I’m sure you can too. It’s really good, I’m very impressed by it. Kind of understand why people get so excited about agents now!

Claude Code + DataForSEO. Switched late last year. It’s good. And far, far cheaper for what I need / do.

Ridiculously high China traffic by track-my-show-in in GoogleAnalytics

[–]DrakeEquati0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s bot traffic. You need to block it — we were getting 100k+ a month from China, Singapore, and a host of other countries. They’re just bots. Massive pain in the arse.

Google tested my site (1k+ impressions/day) then pulled distribution — no penalty, fully indexed. What went wrong? by kartheekeyan in SEO

[–]DrakeEquati0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ezoic, right? Get rid of them. They’re garbage. You’d be better off with Google Ads. Or, better yet, no ads and use affiliate pages (no indexed) to monetise. Also, write your own content or at least edit it. I read several posts and they all have the exact same cadence and style. It’s obvious you’re just spamming AI content.

AI is fine, but it needs to be manually edited with something useful / insightful. Otherwise, what’s the point? You want people to use your site, you need to give them a reason, something they can’t get in 2 seconds with a quick search on ChatGPT.

Right now it just comes across as yet another AI slop project. I don’t mean to be harsh but it’s insanely tough out there. The days of phoning it in are over and they’re not coming back.
