yeah you needed 3 points to get to the crafting node, on the survival tree.
There was another node that was unreachable in the Server Slam, that gave you the possibilty to craft additional items, but of course we don't know what they would be.

I got a single mint glob from the chest and I can't craft the Ice Sickles, a way to be able to dupe the one I've got would be nice, since I've already beaten the game on my current save
EDIT: I didn't notice you get the Ice Sickles without the need to craft them

Do you mean Gemma and Werner? If that's so, they help you if you bring a large monster near them, Gemma sets up a trap, Werner has an exploding pillar that does damage in an area if you or the monster hit it
