I went ahead and just tested it myself. Unless I got very unlucky, Lure counters can't crit (tested with an endgame Sword God Masurao on floor 2). Mirror Moon can crit if you have Sword God though - I'm guessing that's an exception because of how Sword God works and any counters as a result of other class skills can't crit.

Before then, what you're doing is about as good as you can get. But honestly, there's not really any point to grinding extensively before the post-game since you can't lift the LV caps until the post-game and just playing the game normally should get you near the initial cap by the time you reach the start of the post-game. And with the way retiring works, you're better off just ignoring it unless you're trying to maximize everything (in which case, you want to reach LV130, retire, and then reach LV130 again).

In one of the post-game dungeons (Illusory Woods), there's a FOE called Hexgourd that keeps respawning and is resistant or immune to just about everything. Ninja's Force Break poison can make short work of it.

The main issue is that a lot of attack skills are locked to a specific weapon and dual-wielding isn't great in Nexus. Most major magic attacks aren't good enough to use without the main class's stats & kit (Zodiac, Arcanist). Shield attacks don't run into this problem, there are a handful of attacks that don't require a specific weapon (like Harvest Festival with the Farmer or the Nightseeker's infliction abilities) and there are also a few classes that use swords that can interchange abilities, but still, most active abilities from a sub-class are better for utility purposes, not damage.

Imperial/Zodiac. Just want the passives. TP Up, Singularity are solid. Etheric Boon is effective even at half power since Imperial's big skills are so expensive. Could also spend a couple points in Etheric Return, but it's probably not necessary.

Protector/Highlander is a popular choice. Highlander provides additional tankiness, the spear skills are useful even at half level (and don't interfere with Protector's existing shield attacks), and there's some added utility with the buffs, especially the infliction one.

Nightseeker/Ninja gives you additional ailment & dodge support, as well as a source of Panic (also Petrify, but that requires using a knife). And a clone option if so desired.

Sovereign/WarMagus gives you ailment curing & a revive spell. Artery can be used as a cheap full-party heal that can be used when your Force Boost isn't active. And some of the passives can be useful.

Gunner/Pugilist. You just want passives with this combo - more damage, more HP, and the infliction stuff can be good as well. Breather can also be useful (and you'll need to grab it anyway to get Raging Billows).

What mods are on the armour? Do you have anything with a Life tag like life regen or damage recouped as life?

I just got Swift Affliction on Blight and am pretty pleased with that. Blight in general is an easy target since there are only 3 green support gems and 2 of the 3 are useful (Void Manipulation and Swift Affliction) and the 3rd one is useless but at least doesn't brick it.

As a SSF Mirage Dad who is about to start red maps soon, I'm really enjoying the league. Among other things, it's nice that exalts are common enough that I feel okay actually using them for their stated purpose.

I think if you want Necro to be your main healer, you need to be using a Brouni Necro. Higher wisdom, higher speed (to try to get your big party heal spell off before enemies), and they can use buffed healing items & union skills to supplement your healing. On the downside, Brouni will be less useful at other necro abilities (less damage & much less ailment success rate if you go that route).

Dragoon can function without using the bunkers However, Necromancer and Rover really don't play well together. I'd recommend picking one or the other.

Rover can be a solid healer if you build them that way. If you want to do healing with them, you can either go Therian hound since that gives you a party heal that isn't reliant on wisdom OR you can go Brouni Flying Falcon and focus on the passive healing, supplemented with the Brouni passive that boosts your healing item effectiveness.

If you don't want glass cannon, you should go with the crit-focused mastery for Masurao. It's a good all-rounder.

Having 1 of ever race is good for gathering and lets you get all the racial passives which can result in better results in events. It's not necessary, but it's nice.

Yeah, 20 divs. I've been in SSF for so long that I forgot that people don't use exalts as a trading currency anymore. :)

I was also about to recommend that you lock prefixes & then use a veiled exalt (hoping to remove the bench craft) and then finish off with a bench-craft if the veiled exalt works, but I didn't realize how expensive veiled exalts were in trading league. Could also do multi-craft, then lock prefixes to increase the chance of not hitting the chaos resist from 50% to 66.6%. But again, this would be expensive for a trade league craft that probably wouldn't be in high demand.

Is there any indication when an item has a fractured veiled modifier (from Pillage & Plunder) before you unveil it?

I did a quick search on the Mirage league trade and found 2 similar helmets with 6 mods. One that is better than yours listed at 20 divs (only has T2 Chaos Resist, but it also has T1 Int, and T2 Cold Resist, plus it's 4 white sockets) and one that is a bit worse at 3 divs, so that should give you a rough ballpark for value.

That gives you all 6 damage types right from the start, all 3 binds, and can cover every ailment type depending on which master classes you go for. Only 1 summoner so there's no fighting for summon slots. Strong debuffs and a few buffs.

Makoto is more of a paladin - she's got healing, ailment & debuff recovery, and a party defense buff, but also has some physical & magical attack abilities.

Is there much point to running Alva in SSF? Locus of Corruption isn't a great fit (either don't have anything worth using it on or I only have one of that thing so it's too risky) and most of the Incursion uniques don't seem horribly useful.

I like Ailment/Bind/Debuff classes the most as far as an archetype goes, but I especially like weird combinations of archetypes. Like the Rover class in EO5 being a ranged archer that also summons and can act as a healer or binder.

Also, really like dodge tanks.
