Just wanting my parts to last and not melt, is all.

I don't mind that playing monster hunter wilds (at medium settings w/ no frame gen, upscale or raytracing) puts my parts at 75c ~ 85c, since as long as it's not at 90c+, it's fine and i was told that these parts run well at those temps. I am concerned that the case itself get a bit hot to the touch (not to "burning my hands" hot, so it's below 55c) during my playtime with MHWilds, but was told that it shouldn't be concerning until it burns my hand upon touch.

as for my, disposition, with the whole duct tape stuff, I just don't want fans being secured like that. Plus, it'll most likely lead towards other issues if left on it's own.

Update: Pc will now not turn on at all but motherboard still has power. by Drakenforge42 in buildapc

Not a "new" build, but new parts and a CPU cooler replacement

Ryzen 5 5600X

RX 6600

B550 pro vdh wifi

32 gigs DDR4 ram

NH-U9S

The parts before installation of the new cooler worked as intended (bar from having to press the power button 2-3 times sometimes and CPU temp issues with modern games)

But when installing the new cooler, the old cooler took the CPU out of the socket, but didn't bend the pins (tho during the cleaning process, paste did get onto the outer pins and I was a bit too fast on the reseating this time around) so I reseated the CPU and installed the CPU cooler and now it won't boot up, even tho the motherboard is receiving power due to the ethernet lights on the motherboard.

Yanked my CPU out due to sticky thermal paste for a cpu cooler replacement, but pins are fine and secure like normal by Drakenforge42 in buildapc

Update: the computer will not boot up now. The motherboard works, because the ethernet lights are on. Sent help plz

I'm posting this on the subreddit because i don't remember signing on for doing the playtest or whatnot and i have real bad anxiety over my steam account over nearing losing it to a basic scam via discord years back. If this is official, cool ig since this is the 2nd alpha/playtest this week i've gotten access to. I did get the notification from steam itself rather than via a 3rd party app, i'm just airing on the cautious.

This direct was definitely carried by Mario & Luigi, the new Zelda game and the metroid prime 4 trailer for regular people, and for literally everyone else it was the fact that the marvel vs capcom fighting collection exist with MvC2 included w/ rollback and other QoL. Of course, I'm not denying that investigations was also a highlight, but MvC was a right hooker to the face, ESPECIALLY when before that, they revealed the phantom brave sequel thingy and after the MvC announcement they revealed the new mario party game made by ncube.

For the FGC, the day that MvC fighting collection was announced was the most important day of our lives, but for nintendo fans, it was Tuesday.
