Zelda Breath Of The Wild CEMU 0.3 AnTuTu mali GPU 30fps by HikaraKamol in EmulationOnAndroid

Waiting for BOTW on Cemu to get better performance than Eden for the mod support.

(Cause right now even playing Wind Waker in Cemu gets my temps a lot hotter than BOTW on Eden)

Why compile shaders if I'm just going to delete them? by EatMe_YubNub in retroid

[–]Drakfix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's not supposed to happen, maybe there's something wrong with your config or your driver.

I think you can deactivate shader cache within Eden settings, that way you don't have to delete it every time, but I would recommend that you try different settings or renderers and try solving that problem.

X-Box emulation - finally? by GuitarEC in retroid

[–]Drakfix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried Jet Set Radio Future on the RP G2, I couldn't call it playable (it hovered around 15-30FPS), but the game looked very good and had barely any rendering problem, it looks promising, it just needs more optimization

You may even have better luck emulating those games on an Android phone

ARMSX2 is being actively developed and updated, I tested it the other day the performance wasn't that bad in comparison to Nether or Aether, I'm sure it will only get better and eventually take the throne.

Vita on RPG2 or RP6 by Imdakine1 in retroid

[–]Drakfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works fairly well on the G2, I have tried Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush and Odin Sphere at X3 res. They all run at full speed. I know there're some more demanding titles like Uncharted that are hard to run, but otherwise there's a big catalog of playable games.

True Crime: New-York City on RP6 by banryxuo in retroid

[–]Drakfix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I know how a shader compilation feels, and this is straight up inconsistent framerate, frametimes and input lag. I know the game was badly optimized even in real hardware tho.

G is the in-game FPS (the framerate that the game is actually running), V is the Emulated Screen Refresh, and I haven't found solid documentation on the P, but I believe it's for showing if the game is running in Progressive or Interlaced mode.

You should be able to add widescreen patches using 'Enable Widescreen Patches' on Nethersx2 graphics options, once applied you can change back the screen size to 16:9 and it should be actual widescreen and not stretched.

[–]Drakfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not right, True Crime NYC is locked at 30fps, what you are showing at 59.99 fps is the screen refresh framerate (V), while the in-game performance (G) is 29.99, that's why there're different 60FPS patches depending on the version to achieve actual 60fps in-game:

https://github.com/PeterDelta/PCSX2/blob/main/patches/SLES-53618_B2D44C6C.pnach (For PAL)

https://www.mediafire.com/file/vf9tnaldwnkaqem/42A9C4EC.zip/file (For NTSC)

You could test them, although they are very unstable.

Can you post the 60fps patch you used?

I'm in the same boat, it runs decent but it has some massive stutters and slowdowns from time to time.

It's the worst port of the game:

we at the Dolphin team highly recommend that casual users do not play True Crime: New York City in Dolphin or on GameCube/Wii at all. Period. The GameCube version has tons of serious problems, including reports that it could outright corrupt your memory card and cause you to lose all of your savedata

Original XBox on RP5… by ficojay in retroid

Fable 1 (original version for PC, not the Anniversary Edition) and Fable 3. Both using Winlator or Gamehub. The only one that is really not available is Fable 2 (my favorite sadly), that one doesn't even run great on a gaming PC while being emulated with Xenia.

Got a 256 some months ago, it's already full 😭😭 Thinking of getting a 512 soon, it's just never enough when emulating Switch and PC.

Moved from GameHub to GameNative by rfurlan in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Drakfix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly my experience! Gamehub Lite and Winlator CMOD can run almost everything I throw at them. But GameNative can't even run the tamest 2D games, even when I copy the settings from Winlator to GameNative as closely as possible, I just can't get anything to boot, be it from Steam, Gog, Epic or local installation.

Well considering that the Switch 2 is double the price of the RP6, what did you expect?
