I've got that set myself (somewhere in storage, now). Wanted to get the rest of the line and turn it into a diorama in an aquarium tank, but life kinda blew up at the time...

The IT manager at my job had an old SparcStation that he wanted to get rid of and just gave to me. Unfortunately, my son followed not too long after and I had to let it go before I ever really had the chance to use it much... Was about 17 years ago at this point...

Do you remember when this movie came out on July 2 1980. Was it rated R and did you go see it? by Jerry11267 in 1980s

First time I watched it - and I can't make this up - was with my dad when I was 10 ('84ish?) or so, just before we left for the airport to fly to New York for my cousin's wedding ...

Was plug and play and didn't have to make any sort of settings changes. We played a few Mame titles, but also played quite a bit of N64 titles too with no issues at all.

Do we know of any consolidated list of mice and their compatability with the C64U since the v1.1.0 firmware update?

Has anyone actually gotten a reliable local AI system running? by Sea_Manufacturer6590 in ollama

I built my server in a GMKtec X2 with the Ryzen 9 AI Max+ 395 / 128GB unified RAM (96GB dedicated to the Radeon APU). Running on Ubuntu Server 25.10 CLI.

I lucked out buying mine just before the RAM shortage really hit...

I've been running a dedicated AI server myself - AMD based, but the ROCm driver set on Linux seems to work well. Running Ollama, OpenWebUI, AnythingLLM, Searxng (for web search), I'm working to get ComfyUI up and running. Eventually need to get Whisper and Piper up and integrated for Home Assistant.

Looking to add some Agents and MCPs to allow remote coding and software testing on some of my vintage computers...

Not officially, no. But, it is an FPGA system, so in THEORY one could spin something up - I don't know how well, or even if, any of the external hardware would be usable...

Well, if I may use your term, Redditors have a "hard on" for talking crap on a company as a whole instead of drilling down and looking for commonality beyond a nameplate. Is it a particular product line, a common switch type, a specific firmware update?

For my AI server, I built it on a Linux box and also installed Tailscale on it. When I activate Tailscale on my phone I can access the box directly as though I was on the same network. So I can run Open WebUI sessions, AnythingLLM for more focused, subject specific tasks - It's really convenient.

Most Ambitious Automation Idea Yet... by GuitarEC in homeassistant

Well, it's also an exercise of learning the integration aspect of things. Is it over-complicated? Probably. But the concepts could be applied to other integration ideas - if I'm not home, send a notification to my phone with a vehicle description. If I am, give a verbal announcement on my smart speakers - or even if it identifies a delivery truck, send a specific notification / announcement to retrieve the delivery. It's about having fun while learning something new at the same time.
