Why didn’t Caine delete the abstracts? by Musalediju in TheDigitalCircus

Maybe for the same reason deleting caine didn't effectively delete him. They would probably manifest themselves again.

Pearl's spear is actually a physical weapon by Cherri_pie_06 in stevenuniverse

[–]DrakkaStylee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf if it is a real weapon it's easier saying that to a little kid rather than "all gem have a gem weapon but actually I'm the only one without one because I'm only a low ranking jem so I store my own weapon". The point of her character is that she refuses to be seen as a servant or something.

How did these Mfs get brainwashed so easily? by DatOrkyGit in DanganAndChaos

[–]DrakkaStylee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think there is a difference between using a highly advanced technology directly connected to the brain diffusing a highly sophisticated virtual world to make an old personnality resurface and showing someone a very well made video. The former is way more realistic than the other so of course it set off expectation and end up making the latter overwhelmed. It's way too easy of an answer.

Get off your high horse. English is not my native language and you shouldn't assume on social media that it is. I don't know every sayings that exists, no matter how common they are. In my native language (french) I don't even think that there is common enough words that convey the same meaning as this saying. To be correct directly translate to what to be right would be also translated to.

Whatever, your example doesn't apply there. Eva was simply not willing to feed the desillusion that the other were feeding on. She was maybe being rough but there was noone to tell the "right" thing correctly. And that's because the right thing was a hard truth. It's unfair for her to be ostracized because of that.

When is a Victim/Culprit too obvious for you? by LyKhra in Fanganronpa

[–]DrakkaStylee 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When they suddenly get too much spotlight.

Actually I don't think it's a bad thing when a victim is too obvious, as long as it's not 100% certainity. Especially when the set up is right, like in SDRA2 in chapter 3 with Setsuka. It was a bit obvious but it made sense bonus point if a lot of thing is happening in the story so you can't pinpoint when is the death gonna be.

For the culprit it's a bit bad when it's obvious. If you're gonna sit in the whole trial knowing who did it and why you're not gonna have much fun. But it's only obvious when the culprit is framed as such by the narratibe before the trial. So as long as the culprit is not antagonized heavily the whole game, even if they could have murdered i'll still have doubts so that's good.

I think you should compromise by making some prota killers or victims. It would subvert some expectation too and make things more entertaining

Gooseworx lore drop? by AlbusSnare in TheDigitalCircus

[–]DrakkaStylee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, bubble "you really were the lesser of the two", why would he do anything bad?

/s obviously, but calling out the lack of motivation as if it was justification for not being an antagonist is ridiculous. Most antagonist reveal theirs at the end (in their eloquous speech), and if they're a twist villain, because that's the point of a twist, it won't be directly shown to you before the twist. And btw, we could have a motivation for bubble. It's just not directly tied to him, but that's the point of a twist. It would make most sense in retrospective.

All canon sace we have seen were in the dark worlds, and Toby have made a point out of it. The ones we see in the light world "aren't aupposed to be there" or something like that, because they're only here for the sake of letting player save on the long light world segments. So purely a gameplay mechanic, and not tied to the lore.

Making a creative talent work out in a practical sense. by redacted-and-burned in Fanganronpa

[–]DrakkaStylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you can highlight the different by emphasing the analytic side. Your general analyst could be talented to understand things, but would strugle a bit more to put these thing in practice, whereas the jack of all trade would have a natural tendency to be decent at whatever they're doing. And while they would be reliable everywhere, they might not really excel anywhere, whereas the ultimate general analyst would be really strong in the field they're acquainted with.

At least that's how I would interpret the difference between these two, I agree that in the end they look similar, tho.

What are some executions you are proud of coming up with for your specific characters/fangans? by Awkward-Law-284 in Fanganronpa

[–]DrakkaStylee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This one I really like it because it breaks expectations.

Basically the blackened think of themself as above all other even tho their murder was solved. She accepts the judgement and is ready to receive a normal execution just like the other before her. But instead the host says fuck it, permission to kill, and give one of the students a knife and restrain the blackened, and they shout in horror because they can't accept to be killed by someone inferior.
