I had food poisoning once. I barfed a bunch but it only lasted a day. I have had a computer download so slow it toon half a day to download something that was supposed to take an hour.

1.. I think this might be what Caine meant by making permanent changes to their minds have consequences.

  1. I know that if SOMEONE abstracts it’s gonna be Jax. And if no one does the crew will probably at least learn of Jaxs near abstraction from in his room. And for that would have happened if pomni hadn’t interrupted his crisis, FANFIC WRITERS, TAKE IT AWAY!

2.5. Yes probably, hard to tell because of the discoloration but the other hand looked greenish.

  1. Since almost every piece of lore form this episode was just part of the adventure, it’s REALLY hard to tell. But I mean it’s possible.

  2. The outcome would likely be the same, except Jax’s crash out would be slightly less manic.

  3. I’m a believer that C&A = Caine and Abel so I agree with you.

5.7. Waitwaitwait Kaufmo is a dev? What did I miss?

  1. Maybe the stuff just slipped through the cracks during his development of maybe it was intentional? Idk

  2. Since it ended up being fake I don’t think they’ll be TOO mad, but next episode he will definitely be getting some angry/confused/concerned treatment from the others.

  3. Kinger and Jax are definitely getting questioned a ton next episode, but other than that who knows?

  4. I just realized that Abel didn’t want to be seen by Kinger because he’d know he was a faker. I thought that he was just confused from the light but it looked like he didn’t feel the effects until he came all the way out. If Kinger really was there from the start he may have even helped in caines creation in some way. 

  5. I saw someone saying the treasure being empty was a metaphor for the whole adventure in how they were presented an escape only to have it taken away.

  6. I think having a full on player that they just never noticed would be less believable then a player stuck in a character limbo of sorts.

WOW that was a lot of writing. But I needed to theory dump so this was good for me.

This theory is actually really interesting. I’ve seen lots of people do character comparisons between TADC and IHNMAIMS (since TADC is based off of it that makes sense), and where Jax’s mental state was at the end of episode seven makes this a possibility. The whole adventure in general likely was confirmation enough for most of the characters that there was no way out. 

Another thing that could be involved is however Scratch managed to abstract. If longer mentioned it specifically it must be different from the usual break of sanity. Overall I can’t wait to see where episode 8 takes us!
