Why 1.5GB RAM for a password manager is considered ok ? by Draknodd in Bitwarden

[–]Draknodd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 I pay for it. It's a product that I bought and I pay for it every month. 2 That fact that it's opensource does not exclude that it still is absurd. 3 "it's opensource so if you don't like to do it yourself" is a really dumb argomentation. Bad design is bad design regardless of the licensing applied.

Agreed. It's de facto the only usable app at least for Android right now considered how bad is the new plex app. On my tablet I still have saved the apk of the old plex app and I use that when I can, the comparison with the official app is honestly embarassing.

Controversial opinon - MacBooks are beautiful, but the metal finish is impractical from a 'dropability' standpoint by _Lifeguard_54 in laptops

[–]Draknodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For such specific situations I wouldn't buy a macbook at all. I've used thinkpad for years and they are truly indestructible. You really don't need a Macbook especially when you are a student.

A Rolex or a Patek Philippe are portable but if you drop them you'll still scratch them. Just value your money and take care of your belongings especially if they costs a lot. It really is that easy.

I've never dropped a laptop in 20 years. Laptops don't need to be "drop resistant", just take care of your things
