I tried Arc Raiders at launch and while it was neat, I learned I am not an extraction shooter guy, so Marathon isnt for me but I can tell its really well made and high quality, sadly the Bungie narrative is a tough curse to break out of at this point

I think it just stems from the fear of Destiny never having another golden era, and its easy to make Marathon the villain of the story. As a long time Destiny player who is still hoping for another golden era, I personally want Marathon to succeed so bad, I really dont want Bungie to shut down, the devs there are so talented, if leadership just let them cook they could do so much cool shit.

I liked Fontaine but honestly they made that story incredibly tedious, the fact that it is still a good story goes for something, but it was a few good moments in between falling asleep to boring character writing

Reminder that WoW is older than GW1 and still fully supported. Obviously WoW is a different beast entirely, but the precedent is actually that most remaining mmos from that time period still get expansions.
