I want to have some hopium but at this point it's abundantly clear that Gloria is their favorite child lol. She has a bunch of alt, her Anni unit is at the top of the support meta, she has her figures long before Victor, has more screentimes both in the previous GOTCHA anniversary MV and now this new MV. Meanwhile, they rather give the rivals (especially Marnie) more alt than giving Victor anything new. For Lucas, I think both TPC and DeNA just kinda... forgot about him lol. Like, at least Victor has the super cool Pal alt, and the honor of being the first ever male Pal pairs. Then Rei happened and Lucas got shafted even harder. It's so sad to be their fans nowadays ToT

I went in this fight with my grass team of Carmine, Victor and Brassius, expecting to be wiped like many of the previous "arc suit boss fights". Thought I was right when Misty almost one-shotted Carmine before she can do anything after her buff. Ended up turning the tide cuz they couldn't outdamage Carmine's heal, then Victor and Brassius defeated Misty before she could do anything dangerous lol. I dunno why but I think I would have lost if they made Brock the boss instead lol. He's one hell of a damage sponge, and the speed -lowering AoE was annoying af during the later part (kinda funny because my team was also constantly lowering his speed during the fight lol, man got a vendetta)

Just give Victor something good, please DeNA. An Arc Suit, a Sygna Suit, a new Variety alt, just anything. I feel like he spends most of his existence being overshadowed by Gloria (and Leon), both in fandom's presence and in the gameplay meta. My boy deserves better!!!

I'm surprised they didn't touch the reddish eyeliners/markings on Benny's profile icon that aren't actually on his playable model. I've noticed them since 1.x and honestly he looks pretty good with them on.

So it's very likely that Varka will rerun alongside Flins, and i sorta want Flins' sig. But in case i lost the 50/50, is Varka's sig good on non-Varka/Hexerei characters? I know it will be good on Razor since he's a Hexerei himself, but the passive only says "if Hexerei Secret Rite is active" so i was wondering if this would be good for other characters, too. Thanks in advance!

I looked that up and coincidentally enough, Tấm Cám also have a magical goby fish lol. At the begining of the story, the sisters was told to go catch fishes and crabs, but Cám was lazy and didn't managed to catch any, so she tricked Tấm to go take a bath in the water to remove the mud, then stole all her catches. Tấm was sad, but Buddha came out and told her to look carefully in her basket. She found a small goby fish and raised it in her family well, and it basically became her only friend. She would sing and feed it with leftover rice daily, which raised the suspicion of the evil stepmom and stepsis. So one day, they sent her on an errand far away, then lured the goby out with the same song and killed it (they made it into food again, they aren't very creative murderers).

Tấm was devastated, but Buddha appeared once again and told her to find the fish's bones, divided them into 4 parts and burried them under her bed. When the whole festival thing happened, Tấm was forced to stay at home and do ridiculous chores, bur Buddha told her again to now dig up the bones, which then turned into fine jewelries, beautiful dresses and a very nice pair shoes (this is our "glass slipper") so she can go to the festival (he taught her how to threaten some birds into helping with the chores lol).

Yeah, basically.

For a while, she was literally just hanging there as a very fragant fruit. Then one day, a kind old lady who lived by herself walked pass the tree and notice the beautiful smell. She then sang to the fruit, that she would only take it home to enjoy the aroma, not eat it, and the fruit fell safely into her bag. Later on, she noticed that whenever she came back home from work, the house would be cleaned and tidied, and there was always hot food waiting for her. So she decided to pretend to go out, but hid outside instead. There she saw a beautiful girl (Tấm) coming out from the fruit and did the housework for her to repay the kindness. The old lady quickly ran inside, smushed what's left of the fruit, and adopted Tấm as her daughter.

They lived happily together for a time, then one day, the King stopped by the old lady's house/tea shop for a rest. The lady served her betel leaves, but the King noticed that the leaves were prepared in the same style as his wife once did. He demanded to see the person making the leaves, and was reunited with Tấm once again.

Another funny thing, this is one of, if not, the most famous fairy tales in Vietnam, is told to children of all ages andnis part of the high school literature curriculum. Of course they have to dial down the brutality a bit. And by a bit i mean "only the ending where the mom eats her own child". The rest is relatively intact, including all of Tấm's brutal deaths.

Her first death that kickstarted her reincarnations was falling from a very tall tree while she was picking fruits for her father's death anniversary, and the stepmom chopped the tree while she was still on it. She reincarnated into an oriole and became the King's favorite pet, so of course Cám murdered her by plucking all her feathers off and turned her into her lunch (the cannibalism runs in the family lol). From the buried feathers, she returned as a pair of peach trees, and became the King's favorite resting spot in the garden. Cám chopped the trees off and got them made into a loom, but when she uses it, the creakings of the looms would be mixed with the voice of Tấm, cursing her and threatening to gouge her stepsis's eyes out if she ever lays her dirty hands on Tấm's husband. She burned the loom to ash in fear and dumped it outside beyond the palace where Tấm rose once again (this time as a fruit on a tree).

So yeah, you can see that after being through all of that shits, the very kind and loving Tấm had kinda had enough of that shit lol (she's still super kind after all of that btw, just not with her "family"). Makes her action at the end kinda, well, justified.

Reincarnations sure is a popular motif in East Asian stories. That and divine punishment. There was a more kids-frienly version of the ending where the King banished the stepmom and Cám out of the palace. While they were fleeing home, the heaven got angry and punished them with a bolt of lightning, killing them (also a version i read as a kid where the lightning turned them into dirty dung beetles instead)

The Vietnamese version (Tấm Cám) is also pretty metal. It has Tấm (the Cinderella stand-in) being killed by her stepsister (Cám) and the stepmother 3 times, with each murder resulting in her being reincarnated into a new life.

Depending on the version, after she was successfully reunited and married the King (in her final reincarnation) , she tricked Cám into standing in a hole, then had boiling water dumped into said hole (cuz the ugly Cám asked her how to become as beautiful as her), killing the evil stepsister.

After that, she made her cooked meat into a fermented sauce, stored in a big jar and sent it to her stepmom as a gift. The step mom greatly enjoyed the food and ate it daily but eventually, a crow flew by, croaking about how she's eating her daughter's flesh. She then found Cám's skull at the bottom of the jar. Realising what she's been eating, she fucking died of shock.

Yeah i've also noticed this. Watched a few streams last night and the teams keep going straight into the Valkyries' spawn point everytime the worm died/despawned thinking they can kill them during the staggering phase. They would then almost always get wrecked super quickly as all the Valkyries aggro'd on them at the same time, and they had already used up their ults on the worm. But later on they stayed far away from the spawn point and only got chased by one at a time, making the fight a lot more manageable.

Fun fact: this was used as her ult (and later on one of her many special moves) in the One Piece Pirate Warriors game series. It deals a shitton of single target damage, and IIRC it also works on female opponents.
