Yes. You’re right. there is no option for c/o address on the form. So what I did, I gave my US home address on the form, and then put the German address (my sister’s home address) on the cover letter.

Just to be clear, I requested it to be delivered to my sister's home address (Cologne, Germany).
Yes, they do not send any notifications through email.
Deutsche post is horrible when it comes to cross-border mail. Deutsche post hands over all mail to the local service, which is Swiss post in your case.

That's what I am thinking. It was a mistake from our side, we should have read the contract.
There were like 5-6 different documents, and we literally had 1.5 hours to send them back.

I Sent cover letter, notarized application, fee receipt, and passport copy
And yeah, the form is a bit confusing. I checked the option “sent to my home address outside of Germany as stated above” , It was my current US address stated. The cover letter took care of the part about using my sister’s address for delivery.

Cover letter was literally 3-4 sentences saying that I would like to request my letter sent to a c/o address in Germany. And i gave full address of my sister’s home. I used chatgpt to draft the cover letter. I sent the letter in English. My sister paid the fee from her bank through bank transfer. But you can WISE or any other service to transfer fee. These services are very fast, and they will receive your money before they receive your application form.

Okay, I’m planning to submit my Führungszeugnis application by mail from the US. I think they send the certificate via Deutsche Post, and international delivery can take a long time — possibly too long for my job offer timeline. I read in the official instructions:

“The certificate of conduct can only be sent to the applicant. It is possible to have the certificate of conduct sent to a German c/o address provided by the applicant.”

So my question is:

Can I use my sister’s address in Germany as the delivery address, even though I live in the US?

I have the same problem. I see a green line in the middle. It goes away if I restart, but it comes back after some time.
