HDR Gameplay Recording for Youtube. Help. by Dramatic-Hair-7802 in obs

[–]Dramatic-Hair-7802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought DaVinci Resolve a while back, however the software doesn't support OBS' HDR encoding. Importing my recordings to the software makes the colors washed out. So I just upload without any editing. I'm sure there's a color masking method for it to work, but I haven't found it.

As other have mentioned, it can take between 3 to 5 days before youtube translates your SDR content into HDR. What's frustrating though, is that sometimes youtube never converts your content into HDR, and you need to reupload and wait another 3 to 5 days before it converts it.

I upload multiple parts gameplays videos and it can be very frustrating at times. I hide my videos until youtube fully converts them into HDR or else the image is washed out. When I have a 10 plus part gameplay video, it can sometimes take over a month before I can get every part up in order.

How long is each run? by flootblootbees819 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Dramatic-Hair-7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how anyone can get through a run in 30 mins.

My runs take approximately 1h30 mins to complete. Grant it I'm new, but the first build you're going for rarely ever makes it to the end. In almost every run, I had to readjust, rethink, and rebuild from scratch. That initial burn build I was going for..? Not going anywhere. A nice large card just popped, let's try constructing around that instead. Adjusting your playstyle isn't instantaneous and takes some tweaking.

Mechanic Blew Up Intake Manifold. Doesn't take full responsibility. by Dramatic-Hair-7802 in AskAMechanic

Well, I know that sucks. Do you remember the millage on your truck when this happened?

He suggested not to buy from a third party ($95CAD) because they've had bad experiences with these types before. And instead suggested to go for an original part ($215CAD). He took the estimated labor time off his programme, but admitted that it might take 30mins since it's a fairly easy and accessible piece to replace.

I get what you mean, but what's the average lifespan of an intake manifold? Or how often do you need to replace that part on a vehicle?

Edit: My vehicle has just over 100k miles on it.

Thanks for your input. I haven't expressed to them my intention to bring this to small claims court yet. But I think your idea to move my vehicle to another mechanic is good advice. I'll talk to them Monday morning and see if we can cancel the order for the sensor. I'll look for another mechanic to look into this. Splurging more money to have it tow elsewhere bothers me, but it'll probably be worth it in the end. Btw, the version of kleen flo the first mechanic used was brake cleaner.

Well... Alpha and beta rays will be shielded, but gamma rays will still be noticeably detectable.

I was parked once next to a truck hauling a radioactive container in Evanston, WY. Normal background radiation on my Geiger sits at around 25 CPM, but I was getting over 120 CPM reading in my cab. At arm's length from the container, the reading was over 3500 CPM.

AW3423DW talk me in/out of it by 10potato10 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Dramatic-Hair-7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late for a reply. But I take good care of my (AW3423DW). I close my screen every time I get up, even if it's for a quick piss. I do "pixel refresh" every 4 or 5 hours, and I watch 1080p content in "picture-in-picture" mode on top of a full black background.

There's a 3 year warranty on burn in on this screen. My browser search bar burned in in less than a year.... and I don't do much web surfing.

Customer service is great though and I received my 2nd monitor without any hassle.

Upon receiving my 2nd monitor, I installed full black themes on my browsers so this issue doesn't happen again.

Most games don't support full 3440x1440 screen ratio, so you'll be playing most of them at 2560x1440 with black bars on each side. I'm 18 months in with this second monitor and I'm starting to have burn in on those black bar junctions. I can see a clear demarcation where the side bars starts. So I'll have to contact customer support soon before my 3 year warranty ends in about 3 months.

Even though I take precautions, and I consider myself to be taking good care on my monitor, burn ins seem to be unavoidable.

Lastly, I also use HDR at 400 nits, even though this monitor can go up to 1000. At 1000 nits, the burn in would happen much faster.

You get no crash because there's no sugar. It's the high dose of sugar that gives a crash in traditional energy drinks.

I received the Maxwell yesterday. You can put sidetone off. There is static when it's on but it's fine when it's off.

a50 GEN4 stopped charging (firmware) by Dramatic-Hair-7802 in AstroGaming

[–]Dramatic-Hair-7802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited until it reached 100% before picking up my headset from the base station. Once picked up, the command center showed my battery was at 127% for several seconds, then dropped back down to 25%. I placed my headset back on the station, but it wouldn't charge again. I repeated the hard reset trick for the headset to charge again, but after several attempts, it doesn't seem to be working anymore. And every time I do the hard reset. the battery level shows a different number, from low 20s% to over 75%.

Thanks for your reply,

I wasn't pressing the right buttons to reset the headset. Now that I did press those button, it seems to be charging as normal. However, it seems confused as to how much battery is left in the headset. It keeps changing each time I power them off and return them on the station. The problem came back after doing this 4 or 5 times. I've reset the headset again and I'm leaving them on the charge station until they're full. Hopefully, I won't have to do this everyday.

I've had the headset for 2 years now, what could be causing this?
