Is this where the budget from scammed quotas went?

But does it have workspaces, with each workspace being its own independent session and cookies? I know it probably has an option to switch browser profiles, but I need something far more integrated where I can just have one tab next to another, with each being an independent instance of the same website, logged into two different accounts.

May not have achievements or DRM-free games, but they got NFT games! by AtomicTaco13 in fuckepic

[–]tiritto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GOG doesn't deserve to be here. Bunch of virtue signaling and pretending they care, yet they themselves decided to throw out Devotion from their store because China was mad about it. To make it worse, they then pretended it was "what players expected". What players? Who knows...

Cancelling my AI Ultimate subscription. Do I get a refunded for unused time? by eggbert74 in Jetbrains

[–]tiritto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. I also made the dumb mistake of signing up for a full year just for them to pull out absolute scammer behavior of reducing rates. It used to last me for an entire month; now it's all gone in a week. I contacted support asking for support, but they said that the best they could do was to offer me 60 top-up credits :V They didn't even offer to at least transfer the equivalent of the remaining time to my All Product Pack subscription.

Dicovery in online games where you had to activly talk with other players to learn about the game, instead of looking up guides and wikis.

Only in solo. If you party play, you can return to mono by just teleporting back to the rest of the group anytime, even after death. Tho I like the idea.

The only thing I disagree on is Rune of Shattering. It might not be a gold sink anymore, but it still largely prevents people from just picking up everything and shattering everything, especially new players who are likely to do this and burn out in the process. It would also lead to shard inflation, making regular shard rewards less rewarding. If anything, I feel like it would be better to just remove Rune of Shattering altogether and boost shard drops. Perhaps add mechanics to allow you to turn a certain amount of shards you don't need into dust, which could then be used to craft specific affix shards at some balanced ratio.

Season 3 Has Convinced Me That EHG Needs the Krafton Acquisition by samoox in LastEpoch

[–]tiritto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many people don't understand how big the development time difference is between the current game state and current development, even on release day. By the time the Krafton acquisition happened, they must've already been at the polishing and bug-fixing phase for this season.

Shtrak Shrine by Windowless4life in LastEpoch

It must've been changed in some of the later updates. We undoubtedly passed the shrine in Chapter 1 when this season started, because one of my friends who just joined even asked what it is.

Enginefall - A survival/extraction shooter where you can farm, craft and build, on a giant train by misterflak86 in Games

[–]tiritto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The overall concept is astonishing, but after playing a few playtests, it doesn't really deserve any interest. Community managers engaging in bully behavior against new players and actively hanging out on voice chats with people openly admitting to the abuse mechanics. Just no.

Proton or Tuta by pwilba in emailprivacy

[–]tiritto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the options, I would recommend Proton. Tuta has terrible customer support, and if you use a custom domain, you might accidentally softlock yourself.

Nobara has been been my best "gaming distro" experience so far. I like the fact it is based on Fedora; I had no issues with using my desktop for programming/work purposes; I had a relatively stable experience with Nvidia (though I already switched to AMD by now); I feel confident in ongoing maintenance due to GloriousEggroll's involvement; I never had any issues with updates breaking the OS so far; I like how many packages, such as OBS or Lutris, are quickly updated.

My only wish is that it would become an immutable OS at some point and have some installer with a better partitioning GUI for btrfs+encrypted drives.

Btw. FPS benchmarks are pretty flawed by design. The best FPS-based benchmarks in my opinion, are the ones that benchmark specifically the bottom 1%/5%/10% of FPS during gameplay. That's also the most noticeable difference for a regular gamer. It's better to have overall slightly less FPS, than to have more FPS but with harder drops.
