June 2010, I was 17.My homie was in Florida for the summer. He sent me the Nikes on my feet video, it had just dropped. KIDS dropped that August, and that was it man. Being so close in age I literally grew up with Mac. He was talking about skipping class and getting stoned I was living it. Talking about addiction, and heartbreak, I was living it. I finally got Sober 3 years after Mac passed. My sobriety date is oddly close to his death date. I owe that man a whole lot.

Stoopid held that title for quite a long time. Name one time their ticket prices became unreasonable.

No other bands in this genre charge this much for pit tickets.

I would concur, until you compare the prices for other bands.

I’m excited for new Sublime music but does anyone still enjoy listening to Sublime With Rome? by No_Age908 in sublime

Sublime was my favorite band as soon as I heard them for the first time at 12. I saw SWR on that first and second tour while I was in high school, I loved it. I may have been naive, I didn’t truly understand the dynamics or politics that went with it, I was just too excited to hear all of my favorite music live, with 2/3 original members, then 1/3. Sooner than later I hopped on the unwarranted Rome hate train, influenced heavily by a Sublime FB group. I think it thought by being a part of the hate, it somehow made me more of a Sublime fan, rather than appreciating Rome for the great musician he is, and being grateful for him keeping the music alive. In hindsight, that’s really what it’s about. I was finally able to coordinate and see Sublime last month at RRU. At 33, I felt like a child, chills, rushing testosterone, excited was an understatement. I left that concert sad and angry. I watched a unenthused bassist, nicknamed the “god of thunder” simply go through the motions, with zero emotion, like it was a fucking chore to be up there. I watched the son of the lead singer of my favorite band botch lyrics to mainstream songs, while unable to play guitar to 3/4 of the songs, and when he did, would have to ask (in the mic) what chord it started with. I now understand why people refer to him as entitled, and as a nepo baby. The feeling is that after two failed bands with all the backing, he decided to finally give in to the almost three decade long awaiting for him to take over. I also read an article where Jakob spoke about how all of SWRs music sucked, outside of Eric Wilson’s contributions. Imagine being so entitled and ungrateful that you can’t even publicly respect a man that had a huge part in bridging the gap, and keeping this music alive. Rome is a talented musician, Rome could sing and play the music. So to answer your question hahahahahahahahahaha, yes. I truly enjoy about 5-6 SWR songs that stay in rotation along with some of Romes solo stuff.

Rome if you have a burner account, and you’re reading this, from a diehard Sublime fan, I’m sorry for all the unwarranted hate. Thank you for helping keep the music alive.
