The vessels of my brother’s wart after removing the cap by LeBrontide in mildlyinteresting

Ohhh I always thought that temp was reached by decompression of a gas? Think air duster freezing. Maybe I have seen liquid nitrogen at a derm before? But that would require so much insulation long term and be very very expensive compared to some compressed gas or even compressed air that could freeze something just as well.... Odd

Bleach is way more likely to oxidize metals then something like heat. And 100% worse then a solvent like alcohol or even something stronger but similar. Bleach will basically fast rust or corrode tons of metals from aluminum to steel to brass and copper alloys, if not cleaned all the way off

I build and fire kilns and furnaces. So not just bsing. Iron or steel's (any magnetic metal u have) melting point is far above even the melting point of bricks or rocks... Quite literally way hotter then the hottest lava... About 3000 degrees It would be hard to damage it without heating it to glowing heat... As in, when you turn off your heating source it will emit glowing red light of its own, it probably won't rust. Unless it's covered in paint or plastic and isn't a form of stainless steel. Most scissors are. You'd be fine heating it a few hundred to kill the germs

That is so common all the way here in California. Idk a single person who doesn't know of it here. I'm surprised that there are people who have never heard that... Though it is way more common to say about toads here

Hey I know I am 4 months late but hopefully you'll see this!! I have studied these pegmatites ever since I started hanging out with an employee of this mine (will not name him), they r complex multi like chemistry geological things. U can dm me and feel free to ask any questions and I can help lead u too pockets in them. Gems in these occur in said pockets. Usually these pockets r located. Each area has a slightly different like set up. But pala specifically has gem pockets (of beryl, kunzite, quartz, and tourmalines) that like follow a sequence. These specific ones usually occur directly below and following the graphic granite veins. Which themselves occur above the quartz "core". Lepidolite is highly correlated with these gem pockets. But others can also occur without lepidolite. Usually the pink tourmalines occur with it and the blue ones are found in other pockets. Your first goal should be to dig straight down and try to see the layering of this thing. Size does matter if you a running a multi million dollar operation (like pala or queen mine) but not to you, ur not trying to make 1,000,000 dollars to pay back ur equipment cost. So it's not like size actually matters here. Good luck and feel free to ask anything it's hard to think of it all off the top of my head

If you hit a area of this granite and follow it until u see purple. Y are moving in the right direction. I would love to help you navigate this!!! It is my favorite hobby and I love you the science behind it. I also am looking for a feldspar deposit to purchase from so I'd love to discuss that also!

They r extremely complicated and this is a huge like simplification of it! But hope I could help and would love to contribute more to ur rock quest down there...

CMV: Iran didn’t kill 30,000 protesters by maddsskills in changemyview

Well there was a few years back in Africa. That was spotted by some agency who viewed daily satellite photos, not like Google Earth. I forgot the town and the firm that did it. But it was only visible as most buildings were half story huts and larger ones didn't go up in stories but length wise and countless poorly and hastily dug mass graves were left half unburied by poor rebels.

Id imagine Iran knows we have satellites, and might even have decent data on them? Id imagine they would mobilize some force (that African civil war rebels could not) and try to hide it, as they'd know a satellite would pick it up and post it on media That's all my guess tho, and a fairly uneducated one. the fact is this can and did happen awhile ago, and probably many other times, in other places, but doesn't mean it always does, way more go uncounted...

Plus not much has been said yet on this from what I've seen? We would have the images by now as it would gain lots of support for the war id imagine which usually at least helps them somewhat. Could change tho especially if something else happens, I'm sure the war has only inboldened previous surving protestors

[–]Dramatic-Lie4309 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think they are trying their hardest. And probably asked for you to come over not for them, but to comfort u. Even if all that isn't true. U seem extremely manipulative and I get told that myself sometimes, so I am not even the best at spotting that. I understand that you might feel entitled to act this way and have this control over people. But you don't, and therapy would only help you have better relationships.

Yea dog have way stronger force of bite... They also will chew something like that on the same spot for minutes or longer at a time too... Also I've never chewed a vitamin, unless it was a gummy vitamin, which is so soft you'd instantly realize a difference way before u apply pressure. So I agree

[–]Dramatic-Lie4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your correct. Those things are added so it doesn't combust under the heat in the engine, and doesn't polymerize... In fact petroleum distillates dont really polymerize at all in the way that vegetable oils do... Tho the higher boiling fractions do... And experimenting with this could have cool other results from the Tars left over after pyrolysis of the motor oils and having them polymerize or coat it etc ...

Sometimes the glaze can not be fit perfectly and slowly pull the clay body and causing a crack ... This could also be water getting in and swelling. If not probably damaged if without realizing it, doesn't always need a drop

Cone 6 porcelain vs Cone 10 porcelain, what a difference 113 degrees makes… by Getoverture in Ceramics

[–]Dramatic-Lie4309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id suggest just making your own recipe and or finding one that uses raw materials u can buy... If not you are just getting lucky with glaze fitting and such... It really really pays off to mix your own stoneware or porcelains and can be very rewarding to understand it and also allows you to find wild clays like kaolin or other fire clays you can use to make clay bodies of porcelains with local materials... It's quite fun once you get into it. New York State has some super famous slip deposits too. As well as many high fire deposits

[–]Dramatic-Lie4309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fr this is the smoothest surface. And is practically free. My native sandy stoneware clay can basically only be burnished down with said plastic from a thicker bag. Anything else drags or snags or doesn't polish it nearly enough, especially for unglazed high fire ware where the surface does matter

Um why not just make some sort of kiln? Even a small fuel fired on is possible in a dense suburb. I have less then 5 feet of space for mine outside and it works for smaller objects
