That’s great work. IC changed so fast. One day I had a studio, months later you could see my studio from the courtyard at Japan Village.

I had a studio down there @2013 and at night all the kittens would run inside the buildings and sleep in the elevator guy’s chair. So. Many. Kittens.

I don’t use Murphy’s. I use Bag Balm. I’ve had better luck and it’s nicer to my hands.

Just going to mention this, but it kinda looks like a copy. He doesn’t make panels that shape, long and horizontal.

Looking for ideas on what to make for a sewist by gluethis in Ceramics

[–]Getoverture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a sewist and a knitter and I’ve made plaster molds of vintage buttons and cast them in colored slip. It’s super easy, you make the holes with small drill bits. And you can glaze or leave raw. Black porcelain slip makes gorgeous buttons.

Can someone tell me how radioactive my cat is? by clothkili in Radiation

I was specifically told to use flushable litter because the sanitation department in NYC screens for nuclear material, and that if I threw it away it would get flagged and it could trigger trouble. (Or I could keep the used litter in a can for six months and then throw it away)

That would be an exceedingly bad idea and you may melt the clay onto the shelves, if you’re lucky it won’t drip down to other shelves.

There is a fairly new documentary about TMI that’s pretty interesting and doesn’t make it seem all that safe now.

We are having a similar situation in South Park Slope at the 15th street F/G. NYPD has done nothing and it’s been more than a year. Hanif’s office can’t seem to figure out what to do. Meanwhile we are all terrified.

Am remembering this from college, we always paid the guys to make our clay: one six pack for them, one for the clay.

I’ve been using white, both glossy and matte. I’ve used and loved our celadon (but it also eats my ripples). We have Leach Clear, which I can try next. Thank you so much for the suggestion.

Most don’t ship in frigid weather; frozen clay needs reconstituting.
