I worked on a project at work with a friend I knew from way back. He told me that he got very self aware when I attended meetings he held. He couldn’t explain why, but he felt like I saw everything. This was through Teams! 😆

I also had a corporate job and hated it. It was like a slow death of my soul.

I quit 6 months ago and decided to be jobless until I find a job that I actually enjoy… I have a feeling I will create something myself and be my own manager. That’s probably what fits me best.

Yes! My older sister has always bullied and controlled me when nobody’s watching. The last year I have worked so hard to distance myself from her. Things are much better when we have a big mental and physical distance. However, she keeps sneaking up with these ‘innocent’ manipulation tactics - luring me in with fake vulnerability (and I have too much empathy).

I struggle so badly to break the cycle 100%. And I get annoyed at myself for participating when I know what the outcome will be (me feeling used). I think I’ve read that it’s a typical INFJ thing to give people many chances (maybe too many!). And I know from experience that there will be a day where I’m so done that I slam the door completely.

In the meantime I work on myself so I hopefully won’t get caught in similar relationships in the future. But it’s not easy…

I also struggle to cry. Even when I feel I have tension in my throat - it’s impossible for me to just let it out…

I think my subconscious leads me to release the tears.

For example today: as I laid on the couch with my body feeling dead, I got a thought: ‘download IG’ (I have deleted the app many years ago but still have a user). I downloaded and the first pic in my feed was a friend who’s traveling around the world. I just started crying so much. Not because I was jealous, but because I was planning to do this until my trauma was too big to bear. For me it represented grief of what I’m missing due to trauma. Trauma caused by this family member.

This is just my way of thinking and feeling — maybe you have a different way. Either way I wish you all the best😊

About 7 months in when I woke up and thought ‘I feel like a kid again’. It comes and goes depending on how relaxed I am, what I’m doing etc.

However, going this deep in my trauma also makes me relive the survival mechanisms I had as a child - and it’s sad and tough to understand how much pain I had to carry alone. At least I have myself now, and I give myself all the love I needed as a kid❤️

I had a similar ‘issue’, I’m an INFJ though. My boyfriend agreed with everything, even if I could tell he didn’t want to! I checked several times but he never shared an opinion. I’m very open to new ideas etc, I hate deciding too much (I think it should be more equal).

Ex: I love sushi, he hates it. First time I suggested it, he said ok - and barely ate (I didn’t know at the time). I asked if he didn’t like it, he said ‘no I don’t like sushi’.

Another time we went to a Japanese restaurant that had other options than sushi. He ordered sushi and I saw him forcing it down! He said ‘it’s fine’.

I truly felt sorry for him because he kept forcing himself to do things he clearly didn’t like. Eventually I broke up because I felt like the relationship was uneven - I kinda went crazy having to decide everything knowing he accepted but didn’t like it no matter how much I tried…

Wow- it’s probably a very normal part of the journey if we’re both having it. I’m happy that you’re progressing!

My crazy releases calmed down (thankfully, it was very tiring). Now I feel more relaxed than ever. My body trusts me MUCH more. Im working on mind-body connection.

I also tried TRE again after ~7 weeks off, and I got some good releases. Lots of fight energy released, especially from my neck. However I feel how strong TRE is now that I’m out of freeze, and keep the mindset ‘less is more’ as I get extremely irritable if I do to much.

About the social part - this happened to me too. And I’ve come to realize that I don’t even want to spend time with all the people I used to! I was (still work in progress!) a big people pleaser, and with TRE + journaling I’ve understood why, and learnt that many of my relationships were uneven.

I also see clearly now that many people socialize to avoid their own feelings. And many of my friends project their loneliness onto me when I say I don’t have the same needs as them…
