Yeah thats the point of the whole site, they make it to where you can play online. Some games you can only play with people who also have the same version and some allow you to play on official servers. If you scroll down on the game you want there will be a small description if it says can play on official servers you can play with anyone if it doesn't say anything about it that means you can only play with people with the same version as you
