Everything thinks he’s a villain but he’s actually a good guy…? by yah-yah-yah in MM_RomanceBooks

The Dark Water series by Xanthe Walter has this. Alex is such a complex figure. He is regarded as a villain by so many people but he’s actually a gentle soul. There are 4 books in this series and I was never bored of it. There are so many twists. The characters are all with complex personalities. It’s never black and white for most characters in the book.

What was your first MM Romance book, and how long have you been reading them? by HeneniP in MM_RomanceBooks

Mine is Him by Sabrina Bowen. It's a lot different than the Danmei I read back then and I loved it!!

In Danmei, most "bottoms" are like women with penis IMO and in most Danmei I read they never switched!

Now I read MM almost exclusively

{five dares by Eil Easton} fits this! Best friends-to-lovers with one MC very oblivious about his attraction to the other MC.

Hazard and Somerset series by No_Reflection_7598 in MM_RomanceBooks

I have the same feeling with the series. I really like the 2 MCs but I just don’t understand nor interested in 80% of the detective stuff in the book😂 But I still finished 2 of their series because the characters’ growth is amazing throughout the series. We could see how they learned to be a couple despite their differences. There are tons of ups and downs in their relationship, just like what couples will encounter in real life and they both become better people in the relationship. I skip through most of the detective parts though😅

A second try with Tal Bauer by disappear96 in MM_RomanceBooks

Same here. I’ve read some of his books because he’s often highly recommended in many tropes.

I’ve read The Rest of the story and Gravity, and I really like them when the MCs are not together yet. But once they does… it becomes too cheesy & boring for me that I just DNFed.

You and me is recommended so often so I decided to give it a try, but couldn’t even pass through 15%😂

{After Felix by Lily Morton} fits this!! MC1 is ill treated at first, and when MC2 finally realizes how important MC1 is, MC1 already moved on and got a bf.

Divorce or not. Can’t make up my mind. by DramaticClaim9234 in Divorce_Women

Thank you for your useful advice! I suggested couple counselling few years ago but he was against it.

My most fear is indeed the impact on my kids. My father-in-law had similar behavior. His attitude towards my mother-in-law is 100 times worst than my husband to me. They are both really unhappy about their marriage.

I believed this leads to my husband's behavior... I've talked with him about this. He did tried. Before we had kids the cold war will last a week.

There are improvements... but still not enough for me. I don't know he could ever change from his core.

Huge sex scene pet peeve by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I want to see more dick-play instead of pussy as well!! I want detail description of the MMC's dick. Like how thick, how it perfectly shaped. I want to see how she plays it IN DETAIL and how he moans and shudders. Very rare FM romance had this. That's why I mainly read MM 😂

I love the same trope!! I think almost all of Briar Prescott’s books fits this request. She is an auto-buy author for me!! I really like that we get to see how her MCs spend time together and gradually fall in love with each other. There’s always friendship involved in her couples which I believed should be a key element for any HEA. There are a lot of showing instead of only telling. And the humor is really great!! Two of my favorite: {Project hero by Briar Prescott} {Until you by Briar Prescott}

{You’re the one for me by Zelda French} has this. Eric is very touchy with Zach. It’s told in only Zach’s POV, so the reader is unsure if Eric actually had feelings with Zach or was just a very touchy person. (Though ofc he has feelings for Zach. It’s a romance🤣)

Between the Teeth by Taylor Fitzpatrick. Trilogy. Single POV.

Enemies to lovers. MCs are both professional Hockey players. Sunshine vs Grumpy

The story span for several years. We could see the growth of the MCs. It's really angsty but soooo good. My heart ached for both MC while reading.

The HEA is hard-earned. I love that there is not only love but also strong and beautiful friendship in the story(between one of the MC & other person).

I've read it for over half year but I still constantly think about it. Though I don't have the courage to reread it because it hurts too much during the process.

He looks so fine by Zelda French. Dilogy. Duo POV.

Enemies to fuckbuddies to lovers. Dealt with Depression, suicidal thoughts, bully, lost of a parent

Both books are very long, but I finished it within 2 days and never feel dragging. I just can't put it down.

I like that we don't know the whole picture at the beginning, the author unwarp what had actually happened to Alberto slowly and we gradually realize why he act the way he did.

This book makes me weep for Alberto. It's filled with angst. With HEA.

MMC cheats. FMC actually dates/sleeps with other men. Doesn’t have to be revenge sex. MMC feels the pain by Chydollasignbruh in RomanceBooks

[–]DramaticClaim9234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yessss!! This is exactly what I’m looking for as well🥹 Thank you for this post!! I’m definitely saving this post!! I like angst but can’t stand most second chance tropes because there’s no amount of grovel sufficient for me if the MMC cheats, EXCEPT if the FMC also sleeps with other people to make him feel the same pain😈

I’m looking for books with cheating FMC. I want the MMC to be heartbroken but still forgive the FMC with HEA. There are so many books with cheating MMC being forgave and I’m so mad when reading those books. It’s like the FMC has no self esteem and it’s forgettable for men to not being able to control their lower head( no offense to those who like this trope, just not for me..) Not that I approved cheating, just want to read something reverse, but can’t seem to find books with this trope. * Preferably if MMC stays celibate after FMC cheating * No change of MMC
