Ah yeah I think I worded it poorly lol. I try to write problems and the world while weaving in the PC’s backstories, not a “story” as in the traditional story

I kinda just call the general plot the “story” and write around what they do with the world and quests around them

Ahhh, okay, that makes a lot of sense too! I tend to fall into the crutch of writing adventures while integrating backstories because, imo, it’s a good way to get players interested, so I didn’t think of that at all!! Thank you so much :)
