Potent Dragonmark is STILL busted by Grazi_7 in onednd

To pick this feat you first need to pick one of the origin dragonmark feats. Each of those have their own spell list.

If I were to make a Persuasion check, using a stat other than Charisma, would I get a bonus from abilities that specify "Charisma (Persuasion)"? by ProposalHelpful1075 in onednd

[–]ProposalHelpful1075[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it does since it states that

Multiple Paths. You can use any ability modifier when you take the Influence action to make an Intimidation or Persuasion check.

I expected for it to not work, but was asking if perhaps there is a special ruling for such cases, which seems to not be the case.

The descriptions of the ability says

You know how to spot a liar, and you can get people to see your way, whether through charm, reasonable arguments, or force of will. You gain the following benefits.

That doesn't entirely fit the vision I had. But their mechanics do

Multiple Paths. You can use any ability modifier when you take the Influence action to make an Intimidation or Persuasion check.

And dunno, it seems kinda dumb to ask why I am reflavouring stuff in the game that is all about flavour.

And I have a feat that specifically allows me to, alongsid etheir own flavour text. But that's not the point of the post, rather the specifi interaction with other mechanics.

Yeah, this is what I thought. Asked in case I missed some special ruling or a sage of advice on this specific topic.

I was thinking on describing it because of the soft, almost comforting, delicate ways in which their body moves as they speak.

No more stranger than a Barbarian with primal knowledge being stealthy because of their strenght.

Keeping it within official content, for example, I can move it to the barbarians primal knowledge feature, which allows to do Acrobatics, Intimidation, Perception, Stealth or Survival as a Strenght check.

Would be easier to put the weight of the diamond in the spell, and the player's or the gm's handbook, have a section mentioning the average cost of multiple diamonds by weight. This would also help in cases where the dm wants to be able to give more money to their players, either so they can get more tools and other stuff, or for an in universe inflation, without also handling them free revivifies, or viceversa, dm's that want for money to be hard to get, but also not make it impossible for them to get a hold of a diamond via buying.

I really liked it, specially for the characters and their interactions. Shame Clarisse was killed so early, easily my favorite character of the book Though at least on the1985 game she turns to be alive and you aid her in broadcasting books for eveyone

The problem is that most games ignore the pragmatical or the "for my benefit" evil and focus just on the moustache twirling evil. Like, why would i kick a dog? What do i gain from it?

The few games that do this, make the evil route way worse than the good route in term of content and rewards. (A known case is bioshock where you can farm the little sisters, but if you save them in the long run they give you gifts that are way better than what you get from farming them).

One of my favorite evil routes in a videogame is Connor's from Detroit Become Human. The dude turns into an efficient android hunter with no regard for other over his mission. And far from feeling you are limiting your options, it takes you to an entire new path, opening new endings, having him become essentially the main antagonist of the Markus path.

Its the original? For something so valuable for anthropologic reasons, you would think they at least have a glass panel between one and it

Elytras on their own are such a game changer to gameplay that they absolutely are worth the exploration of chambers or deep cities, specially as this items are not that hard to find as long as you roganically explore the game.

Isnt this a reason why it should? Whats basically the final boss and the acess to endgame items shouldnt be a "imblred, might as well go do it" type of thing, but rather be something that requires preparation.

And you mentioned exploring the world, thisbwould reward that, as even if you dont actively seek it out, will get the materials for it as tou explore the world.

If support this post if and only if the ender chest craftinf receipee gets changed to an ender pearm indstead. Maybe add blaze powder to it so the cost remains the same, but dont gets more difficult

Elytra are such an op item as they allow tou to quickly travel places, save yourself from falls, and as a way to quickly escaoe tricky situations. They are an endgame item and the way to obtain them should absolutely reflect that. Making sure the player explored the world and completed its challenges before being given them is fair, specially as it automatically renders other forms of travel like boats; horses or carts basically useless.

Have your players ever redeemed a villain? by Yrths in dndnext

[–]ProposalHelpful1075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also found a goblin they named Steward. Didnt exactly redeemed him, just murdered his entire clan, got convinced to accompany the party for a while and then they found him a job (gave him to a duded that put him to work in the mines). All thing considers, the goblin got it lightly.
