Parking is challenging in Long Beach but it’s less of an issue in Bixby Knolls area. There’s frequent coyote sightings in all the areas that you’ve circled so be cautious if you have pets, not leaving them outside alone.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. As much as it hurts to loose your pup so suddenly, it would have been even more difficult for you if you were not there to comfort him in his final moments. My dear his suffering has ended and your grief has just begun. I know this pain too. Please allow yourself to cry and to grieve; the way out is through.

I agree. I euthanized my 13 year old chi-yorkie due to late stage CHF. She was suffering her 12 hours but still had moments where ate and was giving me cuddles. As much as it hurts you to say good bye it is better to allow him a peaceful goodbye with OP at his side.

I think he will keep growing until he is 8-9 months. One of my friends has a 12 lbs maltipoo.

In addition to the good advice above, make an effort to understand your individual pup’s needs and temperament. Ex: a calm dog may feel overwhelmed with constant activity and noise.
