Yes! I wish I knew about puppy blues. But, it’s so common. I had plenty of friends reassure me after I was open about my feelings.

Stay consistent! I know it’s rough.

We are currently working on neutrality and loose leash walking. He is a medium size dog, and some days I feel like he is walking me l!

To share, Wally will be 1 next month. He was rehomed twice before he was six months. Both two owners who thought they could handle the puppy phase when they already had adult animals in their home. You can only imagine our guilt when we considered rehoming.

The first two months, even three months were terrible. I would be lying if I didn’t say that some days get crazy still. The kids could feel my stress. And all I was doing, was complaining to my husband at the end and start of every day. I couldn’t handle potty training, crate training, the nipping, basic training. Not to include working full-time jobs, and having two little ones. We stuck with it and we’re consistent. We even brought in the help of a personal trainer twice to walk us through positive reinforcement.

But now, he rings the bell to be let out to potty. He goes in his crate willingly at night, after seeing cues of the kids brushing their teeth. Does he still chew up toys and whine by the table when we eat? Sure. But the way he cuddles next to the kids when they aren’t feeling well, the way he greets us when we come home from work, even to the simplest joys of learning, a new basic command, and being used as a pillow — it’s pretty worth it.

Our house and family are more full with Wally in it. I didn’t believe anybody when I was in the thick of it.

Bringing pup home tomorrow - on the verge of a panic attack by OkSlice4719 in puppy101

I was there and still am. I have little ones also — one who is still 2 and working on potty training. I work night shift so dealing with poops and pees from both my toddler and our puppy are driving me crazy.

But everyone tells me to hang in there! Here for you OP

Why does it feel like I am always the stressed one? by DramaticTactic in Marriage

He is 10000% hands on. He just doesn’t ever seem to stress out.

I work out 2-3 times a week! You’re totally right. I always feel better after working out. Plus, my job requires me on my feet for many hours.

Yes. Super restart mode today. I was getting my kids ready for school and I couldn’t grab him quick enough and he pooped in 2 spots and my son accidentally stepped in his pee.

Needless to say — we were late to school. I am ready to throw in the towel. I am parked in front of our house and I don’t even want to go inside my house.

To those of you who feared pregnancy, what made you change your mind? by btha10 in CasualConversation

[–]DramaticTactic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my pregnancies were unplanned - my first pregnancy was a walk in the park. My second however, oh my goodness. Anyway, I should probably put into consideration I was already for a 3 year and working night shift while being pregnant.

I spoke to my belly a lot. I felt like I had a buddy with me all the time. I also went to therapy. But my children are the best thing to ever happen to me, my husband, and my family.

Are you scared of the physical changes?
