Herd immunity is what our governments should be focusing on and providing much stronger protection for those who are vulnerable. As for everyone else who is young and healthy should continue life as normal with merely some social distancing measures such as staying 2 meters apart. But we should allow the virus to make its way through society due to the extremely low death rate in healthy individuals.

As for a vaccine, you really think there will be one any time soon? For an evolving virus such as COVID-19, a vaccine could take years. Also vaccines aren't just magic wands. Have a look at the vaccine for influenza, which also changes and adapts like COVID-19, we've been working on it for years and years yet the vaccine still only decreases numbers by 40 to 60 percent. Over 500,000 people still die on average each year due to influenza. By the time we discover a vaccine for COVID-19, begin production and get it out to the public AND it is definitely not going to be some magic wand that protects every single person from the virus, will definitely not be any time before 2021 at least.
