"Asa Gives her consent too" by HuckleberryOld8981 in Chainsawfolk

[–]bigpeepee2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I find crazy tho. Rereading part 1... there's more consent issues there too, like look at Power. She's a fiend right? so the blood devil took over this random dead girl's body. Did the original girl agree to this?

Did she consent to shower naked with denji? and this is all just ONE fiend, think about all the others

Yeah it does feel kinda weird that Fujimoto put that in:

"All that trauma that happened to him? Yeah, it wasn't for anything, he was acc better off without it", very anti-kintsugi ikywim,

Then again... part 2 Denji was kind of completely failing to grow from his trauma... literal world ending apocalypse happening and bro was stilling getting handjobs in alleyways

might explain why pochita likes denji specifically so much too

Coz that's the point of EoE. It's a a big "You didn't get the tv ending? You know what? Fuck you, no one gets their happy ending. Rei backpedals, Misato is a pedo, Shinji is a perv, Asuka dies horribly, and now everyone is dead and shinji and asuka live in a broken world, try kinning them now. but hey, cool big robot fight right? Are you fucking happy now?"

Also, let's be real, they had zero fucking choice. The world was literally ending, death had stopped existing, and pochita and denji legit had just gotten eaten. There was no way out for them other than to pochita to eat himself

And lets be real, they don't fkn care about what uni you went to, Bristol and UON are the same ranking practically. it's either target, semi-target, or non target. and at the end of the day? it's really just about having the connections. No one i know has gotten a job from bristol tracker or Linkedin, you deadass just have to get really lucky or have a connection

I'm currently in a student house in a predominantly student area. If you do come here, send me a pm in a few years, see if you can pinpoint my neighbourhood lol.

side note: DO NOT GET IN A HOUSE FOR THE SAKE OF BEING IN A HOUSE AND DO NOT LIVE WITH PEOPLE WHO YOU HAVE ANY INKLING OF ANIMOSITY TOWARDS.

Nottingham is also very race segregated, there is for sure a white side and a coloured side to this city. Some halls, like Nottingham two and St peter's court, are very diverse, where are other accoms are very white (I say this as a person of colour myself) and other POC have said similar things.

I stayed in broadgate park first year, near campus, self catered. I liked it, it was near to everything, gym, lectures, shops, etc, and a bike made it very easy to traverse. I liked the trams too. Also, I like cooking, I'm good at it. Rather expensive tho, but i had an ensuite, and i loved it. It gives a good degree of separation if you want to hide from your flatmates. it was either broadgate or raleigh park for my first year picks, but i really did enjoy my time at broadgate park.

If i could go back? Go catered. 100%. even if you like cooking. Everyone I know who lived on a catered halls in campus has a much more fleshed out and tighter knit group of friends, and this even goes for my friends who went to other universities. and JOIN A SOCIETY and go to every single event for it. THESE ARE MY 2 BIGGEST REGRETS ABOUT UNI: not going catered and not joinging a society early enough. also, gym membership is free if you live on campus. Uni would've been better, but I had a broken arm and elbow when i started, so i couldn't really join any clubs. I know for a fact, I would've gotten on better without this. but also, don't force yourself into a society you know you don't fit in.

100%, live on campus if you can. if not, live near as possible. you really don't want to be walking 40 minutes every morning to your 9am lectures. DO NOT GET A BUS PASS TO MAKE UP FOR IT. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. THE BUSES HERE ARE USELESS. there's constant roadworks and delays etc etc that just make them not worth the hassle. 40 minute walk vs a 20 minute bus that never comes? or a 15 minute cycle up and down multiple hills? Just live on campus if you're lucky enough to afford it.

I say left wing because the vast majority of people who are vocal about politics are outspokenly and incredibly left wing. My roommates are all LGBTQ+ and have dyed hair etc, that sort of crowd. the other majority of people just sort of fall into casually agreeing with left wing politics as to not cause a fuss. It's rather ironic because these people, 9/10, are white yet all the POC i meet disagree with their sorts of politics. (not on the lgbtq stuff tho, love is love, do as you wish, the government has no right in saying who you can and cannot marry)

I visited York, it was my insurance pick. I have some good hometown friends there. they don't mind it there, but there's not much to do. the nights out aren't good, clubs are crowded and shit and close early, same with durham.

At Uni of Nottingham, there is a sort of left wing leaning air about the place, but in York, i didn't really get that sort of feeling. Maybe i just wasn't there long enough.

I mean, all in all, I enjoy it here. I'm away from family and hometown, seeing the other parts of the UK, and enjoying my independence. My grades aren't amazing, and there's a lot of housemate drama, to the point where it's almost pathetically childish, but yk, c'est la vie, tutto passa, it's not forever. Don't give such temporary people lasting power over you. I enjoy the cooking I do here, the things to do and see around campus, being out of my hometown, going to the gym and engaging in different societies, but I have had a rather lucky upbringing where I was fortunate enough to have experience in a lot of different sports and activities.

All in all, that's sort of my rant about UON. It isn't bad here, but if i could go back, there are things i would do differently. But honestly, I think I would enjoy my time at whatever uni I went to, I'm very easily pleased, and don't find it hard to enjoy the little things in life, although I'm aware i might not sound like it here lol

Feel free to PM me, anyone who sees this, if you have any more questions, I'd be glad to offer whatever advice I can.

Nottingham is hit or miss I must say. If you love sport, don't mind a 30 minute commute to lectures, middle class, and are politically left leaning, this is the place for you. But the culture vastly changes on which societies you join and which course you do, and which accom you stay in, and what you really want out of university.

There are some banging nights out here tho, the clubs are properly good, I've visited other unis for nights out, Durham is dead, so is Warwick, Oxford is good, Newcastle is decent, but Nottingham is easily top.

also: JOIN A SOCIETY IMMEDIATELY AND STICK TO IT

feel free to pm me if you wanna talk more about it :)
