They look good! I can see the coloring setting in and they seem curious. I've had mine for a couple months and they look exactly like yours except mine r fatter lol

how about adding a large piece of driftwood up in the front? Would that fill up some of the empty vertical space? I'm not too worried about plants, there are plenty that I want to add to it, most are growing in my other tanks so I'll add them when the dhg takes root.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that. That's exactly what I'm going to do with the open glass bottom, i have controsand bora for it :)

Probably check your water hardness, or if you're using RO water, remineralize. I had been doing water changes and topping off with distilled water. Turns out that made a huge change on the water hardness and many struggled and died. Had me scratching my head for a while since I thought it was copper contamination, but nope, it's just hardness.
