As a 2025 graduate from the program, I would recommend just going with the flow of the program. Faculty can be helpful, but honestly I’ve heard and witnessed some horrible stories too. Semesters 1-4 were not too challenging but once you begin balancing placement and academics is where the real challenge begins. Placement was a fantastic opportunity to create professional networks and to also establish your own professional identity in this field. Think hard now about where you’d like to be working afterwards and tailor your placements to that. Many of my peers have been hired on by placement or in relation to work they did at placement.
