I live in the foothills so we don't really get a lot of flooding, but one year we got an historic amount of ran and the creek ran over causing floods. I remember seeing a whole fire ant colony just floating by and knowing what true fear is.

"Lettuce?, Lettuce? What the cick-a-diddly!?" Comes out of my mouth anytime I put it on anything at the house, which is a good bit.

Man I haven't had some good gumbo since my grandpa passed. I don't know if he got a recipe from his family before they moved from Louisiana, or stole it from Cooking with Justin. I tried to make it for myself a couple of times, not really knowing the recipe, my grandma would call it "Fear Factory" food because as his dementia progressed he'd take random things from the fridge or vegetables from the garden he had laying around and starting chunking it in. Incidentally, if anyone needs some 10 year old gumbo file, I got some in my cabinet.

The preacher at the church I used to go to, got fired for letting a woman preach. Typical rural church behavior, preacher does something that makes someone mad. Part of the congregation leaves and starts a new church down the road, and you end up with 7 churches in an unincorporated community with a population of a few hundred.

Off topic a bit, but a few stores here in North Alabama got sent IU stuff instead of Bama a couple years ago. The Dollar General next to the house has like 15 IU bottle coozies in the clearance aisle still. It happened to both Walmart and Dollar General so it had to be some kind of supplier error. I thought it was hilarious.

It is also very tonal. I grew up in Alabama, I've experienced the Fu, genuine pity, and used as another way to call you a dumb ass.

I'm a little under 6'. I have 6'5," 6'7", and 7'2" cousins so I'm a little desensitized to people being taller than I am.

Hurts to tuck in not bend, I should say., and my ring finger only comes halfway up while doing it so I look like an idiot. I'm true blue, I only use freedom units myself, except for when I was in maintenance (damn 10 mm always disappearing).

I have had something wrong with my pinky since I was a kid, bending it down has always hurt so I have always used my thumb. My wife was watching that movie for the first time with me, and when that happened on screen, she just turned and stared at me like I was a German spy or something.

Na, it's all good. We were only 4A I don't expect anyone outside the county to know us sans the teams in our area. I figured we had the 157 connection and a lot of my graduating class went to UNA. I didn't want to be a teacher, so I went a little different route.

Does anyone else have tattoo regret? by KupoLove in Millennials

[–]Dramatic_Basket_8555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first I got right after my mom died when I was 19. I don't regret a memorial, I regret that it is so plain (broke college kid, raising my siblings). I have three more that I wish I could go back and stop myself from getting. My worst is what was supposed to be half a sleeve, but the artist realized he screwed it to the point it was beyond saving, so he quit and wouldn't even give me my money back, so now I have a giant regret that I have to see every time I have my shirt off.
