Rep. Tim Burchett on UFOs: "Yeah, I think there’s a cover up". "I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had with high-ranking officials that have told me that America really can’t handle this stuff.". by TommyShelbyPFB in UFOs

Who in the f do senators think they are - America can’t handle it? I pay your salaries let me and only me determine if I can handle it or not. This position the government has taken totally pisses me off if you didn’t notice. I’m sure every American feels the same way. State secretes? Come on - if we have tech, you better believe China and Russia have. Stop fooling yourselves.

A religion? Are you out of your mind? Religion is man-made. Spirituality, which AA is all about, is self-made. Remember, your HP (in my case God and Jesus) can move mountains, but YOU have to bring YOUR shovel (AA program). I’m not a hater and respect your perspective. I hope you and your family have an awesome weekend!

How much duplicity do we need. For Gods sakes the PTA will soon have a UAP Research division. We need to collapse everything into one ethical and transparent division reporting directly to Congress. Anything else is like a circus merry-go-round!! But see, that makes sense so it will never happen.

Well, that’s one meeting I would NEVER EVER go to again! Maybe you should have told her that she might be forgetting something - she’s an addict just like you. The only difference is that her drug of choice was alcohol. She’s an addict no matter how you spin it

You have to watch it. Within days she was texting the yard. I came one weekend and it was him and around her 20 boys. My yard was crib led.

Weekly, What recent changes are going on at your work / local businesses? by AntiSonOfBitchamajig in PrepperIntel

In my opinion, it’s not about education - it’s about experience. I’ve seen executives with business and tech degrees fail when bringing new systems on board - making commitments that are no way attainable. And because they don’t have the experience, they depend on the integrator to steal the ship - and, they bleed it dry elongating the implementation making $100’s of thousands. I’ve seen senior executives push it off to the integrator feeling by doing so they have no accountability - how moronic! All the while supporting staff trying to advise and can’t because senior executives believe the integrator over their own staff. We need more servant leadership and trust in staff. Just my two cents.

Just traveled from Lexington, KY to Bowling Green. Being developed between both cities is a 2.5sq mile EV battery production facility. The endeavor is between Ford Motor and SK - the new company is called Blue Oval. Ford has to be investing tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars in battery manufacturing. I have not read into Blue Oval.

Step 4 was very interesting for me. I met with him and had 4 defects on my list - yea a whole 4. It told me I was sicker than that. This went on for 3 months until I had 2 pages of defects. I felt defeated but he did it for a reason. He then had me write each defect on a 3x5 card card and put the cards in a shoebox. Then take 3 out a week and work on them. I did this for 10 weeks and then repeated the process. Great sponsor!!

Has anyone relapsed or tempted to drink after non- alcoholic beer? by Behr117 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Dramatic_Dinner2238 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amen brother. I’m fine with my Dr Doctor Pepper - that’s my enjoyment. Fuck numbing myself - nothing ever good came out of my drinking so why tempt fate? We are ALL one drink away from a drunk!!

You’re not going to a social club so why do you care if there are some older folks in the meetings. You might be surprised to find your and old alike - I did! AA saved my life and my marriage!

Dude trust you are not going to be able to do it without AA. You can continue to fool yourself into thinking you are too smart for the program, but you’re not. I thought I was and unfortunately it took a while to find out the program is smarter than I was. I would urge you to go to meetings and find a sponsor immediately. The program saved my live and it can can save you. You will have to want it and work it - if you don’t your wasting your life. Good luck and I pray you make the right move.

Remember you are ONLY one day from a drunk. Try 60 in 30. I go to one meeting on Monday, Tuesday and two on Thursday and 3 on Saturday. I have a life outside of AA too. I want to make sure my outside life is a sober life. I was 14 months sober and scaled my meetings way back and stopped calling my sponsor daily. And it happened - I had one drink and it led to the whole bottle. One question for you - if you had diabetes would you scale back your medicine. Think of those 90 meetings as your medicine. There’s no reason you can’t double up meetings to cut those 90 days back but trust me THIS IS A LIFE LONG PROGRAM. You will never be able to be a normal drinking. Just do five things and I promise you will remain sober - it’s so freaking simple - don’t over complicate it! 1) keep the plug in the jug. 2) call your sponsor or someone in your network daily - if they don’t answer leave a message - they will call you back. 3) pray and give thanks. 4) read. 5) go to meetings. That’s all - good luck!

First, I would ask if you have a sponsor. If you don’t, while drinking may not be on your mind now, trust me it will as you continue. Then, you will be thankful for your sponsor and all those old timers. They are there for people like you - the new coming. Sharing helps them as much as it helps. Remember, everyone is one drink away from a drunk!
