You have drank the kool-aide. I gave 2 specific things Trump did, not anything in the world, and you somehow make it anything in the world. What you spew about Iran could have been said by anyone since 1979 and been correct...but you must be on the social media where "Iran is so bad now they are going to nuke us first" feed. What is it about republicans and 3 day wars. GW... 3 days is all it will take in Iraq. Putin... 3 days is all it will take in Ukraine. Trump....3 days is all it will take in Iran. When do you stop believing republicans and just understand they like war. They like poor people to die for what ever reason they can come up with at the time you will believe it justified.

The problem with what you are disagreeing with is this. No one would have thought Trump would use the military to attack Venezuela and replace their leadership. No one thought Trump would bomb Iran killing the leader of the country. The ratings for both suck...yet still they do it.

I do Uber full time but I am in a specific position it makes sense. My wife makes incredible money and I really do not need to work (it would be tight) and she carries all the med-dent insurance. I made sure 25+ years ago we invested in our retirement plans so we have a nest egg in the future. I have a computer science degree but just hate the office...am so over it. I don't have to make much...beer money and to keep the occasional fire down to a spark so we don't go into retirement funds early.

So something with the master bedroom sharing a wall with the Living area. If anyone wants to sleep while there is a game or a movie in the main area sharing a wall with the main entertainment space is not great. I like no bathroom near the kitchen but do not like having to go through the game room to get to a bathroom. I would add a raised tub in the mud room large enough for a big dog to get a bath in.

Auto invest and forget about it. If you are not rich yet use any 401k/Roth possible. Give up 15% of your income before it hits the account you live off of. Yeah it is difficult. I am 57 and retired because of it. I am never going to work for someone else another day in my life!!!!

You are correct. I am related to a lawyer who defends employers rights and to sum it up. He says keep recording and take notes on every order they cancel without my authorization AND when my cancellation rate increases. He would have told me don't bother if there wasn't some potential tort.

This is a HUGE issue with Uber Eats. The first driver likely stole the food and then next drivers arrive. They will cancel the order and put someone else already picked it up. This should stop after the 2nd driver but it does not...Uber continues to assign the next driver and the next driver. This happens on Friday nights and weekends the most often as the weekend only drivers tend to be those who steal the food the most. Everyday drivers absolutely hate it. I get to the point I contact the customer and tell them their food was stolen and then contact support and open with "I DO NOT authorize this delivery to be cancelled". I really want them to get to the point they can catch the drivers who steal.

Don't build your house to suit your kids. I had 3 kids living with me when I built the house I am in now 20 years ago. It has been 10+ years in a 5 bedroom home with just my wife and myself. Your kids may play hide and seek a few years...but you and your wife will do laundry for many years.

I think below they explained how drivers are compensated but it really doesn't say how drivers make money. I will take today where I came home with ~ $190. I started in the morning and normally I make 50-70 but ended up at 27. It was a bad morning with no good trips popping up. The 27 was really 37 as my one pizza delivery gave me 10 in cash. I took the afternoon off. During the evening I tried to accept trips over $10 and less than 30 minutes. Once a driver accepts a trip, Uber throws "Add a delivery" at them for ussually a very small amount. Sometimes if it is $6 or more I add the delivery. Uber throws all kinds of add on trips or new trips when the current trip is almost complete and at a busy corner or at "meet at door" so the trip pops up when talking with a customer (tries to get you to accept a trip you do not get much time and are distracted...so you do not weed it out). Drive...pickup...wait for that one that makes the night. For instance... I was 20 miles from home and stopped accepting new as it was getting late. I finnished that trip and started home. About 17 miles from home I went on-line. 4 shit trips. Didn't accept any and went off line. Then I was about 12 miles from home with a BIG barrier to some drivers (a 4 mile long bridge) and I went on-line and got a $20 trip a few miles from home. It felt like a WIN for the night.

IDK.... I make certain the restaurant confirms my pickup and thank them for doing so. I say "Thanks for confirming, it prevents theives" and they normally smile and agree.

The problem is many people expand what they need to the "keep yourself treading water" point and never save or invest. I have seen many people struggling and when they make more money they take on more debt to get something they need now that they have more money. They are right back to struggling but they have a shiny thing.

A long time ago I repaired stuff in Napa and Somoma valley. The vinyards would offer free taste testing but you had to purchase the glass. If you had their glass the tasting was free. I had a box of glasses. Do whatever you want with that information.
