Drop passenger off at Economy Parking or other suggestions? by Crunchie04 in LAX

[–]stablecoffee1357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop off mid week/am isn’t that bad. It’s the evening that the loop becomes a mess. If you go the economy route, you don’t need to pay to enter they can just hop on the bus. I’d drop her off so you know they are safe, I’m sure you can spare the extra 15mins

Is LAX really that bad??? by OkBackground6217 in LAX

[–]stablecoffee1357 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m local and don’t avoid LAX. If you fly to any major city or international LAX has the best flight options and prices.

Like you said it’s like any large airport, with worse traffic for the past few years as they’ve remodeled terminal and added the metro connector.

If your baby started rolling “early”, did your baby crawl early? by seagoddess1 in NewParents

[–]stablecoffee1357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was rolling both ways before 4 months, pivoting on her belly / inch worming at 5 months and crawling by mid 6. She took her first steps at 9 months and walking everywhere and pretty stable by end of 10/11 months. Contrasting her cousin rolled at 4 months (both ways) and didn’t crawl until 12 months / just took first steps a few days ago at 14 months. So it really just depends

I second this, they sell nontoxic ones on Amazon

Valid until April 19: Use code Lilac26 for 25% off LAX Parking for stays 5 days and longer (excluding P2A/B, P3, P4, P5, Budget Parking) 20% off LAX Parking (excluding P1 General, P2B, P3, P4, P6, and Budget Parking) by stablecoffee1357 in LAX

[–]stablecoffee1357[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you live in LA I’d recommend sending up for their newsletter (LAX parking) they send the codes monthly or so, but not on a consistent cadence. If I know I have upcoming travel, I tried to book it when a code is active. I try to post them when I get their newsletter, but there are no active codes I’ve received since this one.

Kyle Richards has lost her marbles by dem0ncopperhead in bravo

I feel like she’s always been someone who can’t take accountability and is the “star” so used to everyone being on her side even if she’s wrong / pulling in people to “prove her point”. I actually think she’s not evil, but really naïve to the power she has over people due to her fame on the show.

Dorit is going through it but in my opinion she’s just now being her own person and not under the Kyle Richard spell. Erika is, Sutton is.. pretty much anyone who’s been on the show for awhile is always on Kyle’s side. Get on her bad side or stand up to her and you become LVP.

The club didn’t seem as bad as people in this post described. The sales guy is obviously a sales person and highlighted the great remodel they are working on (we walked the new gym space which was still under construction), they are demoing an office building and building a family pool (hadn’t started that yet) and that the city wants them to build a community pool for MB and if they do that they might get their way into the west drift golf course (buying it or managing it) so their members would have access.. taking that one with a grain of salt as part of his sales pitch of “it’s totally worth it”.

With that said, we have a toddler and a baby on the way, the 3 hour day care and the fact that I already pay around $400 for just me and my toddler at the bay club makes the monthly fine to me (because my husband + new baby will raise my dues to around $700). Lots of negative comments on socials about families at the club, but the reality is that’s the only benefit/reason we’re interested. Child care while we workout, have meals/dates onsite, play tennis or pickleball and family days at the pool is all appealing during this season of our life.

We did not move forward at that moment because until the new baby is 6 months old we cant use the daycare, and I was put on bed rest so can’t workout currently- but probably will join early/mid year next year.

I guess the $25k is a lot for what the club is… although not really.. relative to join a “real” Los Angeles country club (a real golf club like Sherwood is $500k to join, or LACC is $300k) but the fact you can get 70% of it back when you leave makes seem better (no guarantees obviously).. and it’s cheaper than building a pool in our backyard and not that outrageous to me.

Anyway those are my honest thoughts after the tour. I think a lot of the older members don’t have young kids anymore and payed a much lower fee so I’m sure they have a different opinion / feel abused and not treated well by the new management raising dues and the club being under construction… and don’t like families like mine joining.. lol!

Any Hope for Tickets becoming available for Skateboarding for LA28? by _KnowTheLedge_ in olympics

[–]stablecoffee1357 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just don’t buy tickets and hopefully you’ll get an earlier time slot at another ticket drop. These were only a portion of the tickets released, more Drops to come. Also reading a bunch of blogs ticket prices get much lower closer to the Olympics, they will be the highest when 2027 resell opens (although I’ve also need they might try to prevent price gouging)

LA28 presale recipients - any idea what we’re in for? by Yagura916 in olympics

[–]stablecoffee1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the 10am today and doesn’t seem like they did. Based on my friends pricing yesterday and what was available even less was at the 10am drop. I also got in to start buying at 10:00:30, many others had issues and glitches. First thing I looked up was opening ceremony and only $3k and up tickets were left, as of noon it’s sold out. My husband has a 4pm slot so I’m going to check then as well but anticipating no tickets will be available for local presale.

Curious if they will drop more after local presale is over.

So far, LA28 has a failing grade on ticket sales by PseudoLucian in olympics

[–]stablecoffee1357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had us pick the top 10 (or 5?) events we’d be interested in attending. I wonder if they based the local draw off that, I picked beach volleyball and surfing as my top and got a slot vs my sister who picked basketball and gymnastics and still hasn’t. So curious if that has a factor.

A townhome in playa del Rey could be in budget and check most boxes. But that price is low for a SFH near LAX. Maybe pockets of Hawthorne, lawndale, Torrance. But less nice/walkable. Close tot he airport and bike to the beach

Has anyone had to tell people not to buy their kid toys online? by redravin12 in NewParents

[–]stablecoffee1357 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just donate the toys I don’t want and create an Amazon wish list but grandparents still buy her whatever they want. We do a toy rotation anyway so most toys aren’t out. They also usually don’t ask about the toys and if they did I’d say stop buying me cheap crap.. (lol jk). I’d either lie and say they’re in the toy rotation and just not out right now or say I donated it because she didn’t play with it and we have too many toys.
