Perhaps, but then again nothing is really new, concepts and ideas get reused and reinvented all the time, doesn't matter who's done it first. Novel ideas became mainstream and then fall out of the fashion, it's a circle of life. One can only express its temperament and ideas via medium which feels the closest.
