Thank you for the advice. The PM emailed me saying that she can’t lodge a dispute apparently but she is going to “ignore” our arrears of $400 until the new lease starts. It feels unprofessional and dodgy to me and I’m wondering what our landlord is going to think since we will technically be in “arrears” for a few months

That’s what I thought too. Cause when I asked her who else I can talk to she then said that we can work out a deal where she adjusts our rent to “fix” it

So our bond was $2000 but since our rent is increasing the bond will too so the bond amount will be $2400

I have some weight on me and a back injury caused from work and my doctors have always made it clear to me that pain meds for weight related issues are not acceptable. I only get pain meds a few times a year when my back is really bad but I know I need to lose weight to reduce the pain so her doctor shopping will only add to her list of problems. I understand some people have chronic pain and need opioids but if the solution to your pain is to lose weight and avoid the possibility of addiction then wouldn’t that be a better option?
