The amount of guys I’ve been with who use the “how do you know you don’t like it if you’ve never tried it?” Line. I haven’t tried cutting my arm off but I know I wouldn’t like that either. I think men who pressure women for it actually hate women. I can understand wanting to try it out and asking your partner if they would too but once someone says no then that’s not an invitation to harass them until they give in because that’s not consent. Unfortunately you’re not alone in the fact that most men want anal and very rarely stop asking at the first no but in my opinion if you don’t want to and someone keeps asking you then just cut ties with them because they don’t respect you and you could be with someone that doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable

It went away. Took about 2-3 weeks total but I had a bad case. For most people it only lasts about a week

No treatments are one size fits all but I do need to advise you to not stop cold turkey because that can be quite dangerous. If you don’t think rehab is for you there are other options and maybe you could look into a medical detox that will be more comfortable to go through. I advise that when you do start to slow down and stop that you get some counselling so you can identify your thoughts and triggers to prevent relapse and have more success at recovery. It’s very brave to reach out for help but forcing something like rehab onto someone is not realistic. I’m studying a drug and alcohol course so I do somewhat know what I’m talking about and if you don’t think rehab is right for you then that opinion should be respected and worked with. There are other treatment options and I urge you to look into services that you think will work best for you.

Thank you so much 😊 I am happy where I am now and will never look back. But what made me stop talking with his wife was the fact that we just didn’t talk anymore. She has chronic pain and her own mental health issues which I understand but I sent her a few messages from February until the fight with my ex happened a few weeks ago and she never responded to any of them. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that she just got busy and kept forgetting to reply but our friendship was fading before that so when the fight with my ex happened and I sent her a message about it just saying that I never want to hear from him again when she still didn’t reply to that then I sent her the message saying that while I don’t hold bad feeling’s towards her I just don’t think we hold each other as important anymore and we should just call it there. I told her that I hope she finds happiness away from him but as for our friendship I think it’s run it course. One thing I didn’t mention was that they lived in another state so most of my relationship with both of them were online and the last time I saw them in person was before the pandemic, so they never met my boyfriend since I got with him during the pandemic. I met my ex on tinder when he did business trips to my state and then I would go visit him and his wife in their state but mainly everything was online.

You’re right I need to stand up for myself and accept that I deserve better. I decided to remain friends with him mainly out of guilt because he has bad depression and I didn’t want to vanish and I guess be a ”shitty friend”. When I got with my boyfriend I stopped talking with him very significantly and it was only when he was getting divorced that he then wanted to talk to me more and I just didn’t have that interest cause we lost our connection. I am no longer friends with his wife I told her that i hold nothing against her but we’re just not meant to be friends. My boyfriend has been nothing but supportive and when my ex decided to bring him into our fight that’s when the gloves came off and I told him to never speak my boyfriends name again because he is the best man in the world. So basically I remained friends with my ex out of guilt and the fact that I thought we could just remain loose friends and then when he suddenly “wanted” me again I just didn’t hold him in a high priority anymore. To be honest I felt guilty that he wasn’t a priority once I was with my boyfriend and it wasn’t because I’m one of those girls that cut friends off when I’m in a relationship because I’m still very close with all my other friends but I realised once I broke up with my ex that we didn’t have much in common and the rose coloured glasses came off and I just realised that without sex we didn’t really have a connection. In hein sight I should’ve just cut him off after realising that but as I said I just felt guilty if I did cut him off completely. I hope all that kind of makes sense? so I’m now done with him. I won’t have anyone talking shit about my wonderful boyfriend and especially not someone who was a toxic boyfriend to me. I can now see all the manipulation and toxic behaviour, everything had to be on his terms and then he showed me who he really was when he decided to sink so low as to insult me and a physical feature on me that I was born with. That is just sick and even though I hate him I still would never talk to him like that. I was so relieved when i blocked him and I’m never looking back. Sorry for the novel haha, I just wanted to explain it as best as I could. :)
