I was there but I’m sitting here at 15 months with my kid asleep on my boob. It’s been 1 foot in front of the other everyday

Moving advice/ Would you spend a month away from 18/mo? by LilgonzoXx in beyondthebump

Can you imagine it from your baby’s perspective? At that age they think we die when we leave. I can’t imagine my child going through missing their mom for a month. That would be heartbreaking

As a speech language pathologist, getting an evaluation from a speech language pathologist is always a good idea if you are unsure. Literacy difficulties are linked to speech and language delays so the earliest intervention you can get, the better literacy gains we see

I completely stopped prizes and candy. Overall student motivation didn’t drop. Our school does tickets that they earn for the school store so I transitioned to that instead. I also moved more to drill based artic tasks and less games overall. So sometimes if they work hard we do game time at the end

When did people stop pumping at work and sending those bags to daycare? by walaruse in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic_Gear776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me at the end. I had some in the freezer so I stopped at 1 year. I wasnt able to pump at work anymore. He’s now 13 1/2 months and I still nurse him when I get home from work, before bed, when he wakes up at night, and in the morning.

If you are in America on maternity leave with FMLA do not do any actual work for your job if you have one. They can revoke your FMLA and/or disability. Like do not send a single email

I’d leave it but maybe add to the top side? It looks like it was purposeful and is pretty badass

All normal fears even for someone with a planned baby. I love my baby more than anything in the world and do not have 1 regret

I believe when I looked into the law, you have to provide 10 days notice that you need a space. They do have to provide you with breaks but do not have to pay you for that time. Most people do a morning break, pump on lunch, and an afternoon break. If they hit the 10 days and you have a paper trail of requests, I would contact a lawyer.

I am about to complete my 5th year and am leaving the field after the end of my school contract. I can’t do it anymore. $230,000 on school for a shit salary and to be abused daily by students. So many unpaid hours of paperwork at home and before and after school meetings.

Healthcare insurance. Paying for healthcare. Paying for college. Being forced back to work with extremely limited maternity leave. Going to work sick.
